Slavers transporting their cargo

Though you should have expected this group to be so close, when you peek around the bush you are surprised to see a large horse-pullled wagon only a few meters from you, with a massive cage taking up the majority of the space. Inside are several naked women chained together by the wrists. One of them locks eyes with you. The terror in her eyes pierces to your soul.

You duck back behind the bush before someone else notices where she's looking. Your curiosity and bravado gets the better of you, however, and you slowly raise your head again to get another look. That wagon is just past your hiding spot now, and you now get a good look at the two guards seated on the back. A human and a half-orc, both clad in intimidating armor and holding axes at their sides, look bored as their transport slowly rumbles along the forest path.

Just behind them, two more horses announce the passing of another, identical wagon. The driver is focused, eyes straight ahead and hands on the reins, but next to him sits another guard, sheathed sword laid across his lap. Inside the barred boundaries of this wagon are yet more women, all naked and bound just like the first captives you saw. This group is all facing away from you but their sunken posture as they huddle together in the cage shows how resigned they are to their eventual fate.

Two more guards sit on the back of this wagon as well, and as they come into view one of them passes a wineskin to his comrade. At the angle you are watching from, one of them definitely has you in his peripheral vision. You duck behind the bush again, hoping he won't notice. Sora kneels next to you, instantly reading the look on your face and understanding the kind of danger the two of you are in. All you can do now is stay quiet and hope the sounds of the wagons continuing on doesn't stop.
