What's next?
Lost Cat Pt.1
Following her abrupt exit, Blake stops to collect her thoughts on what to do next until an unknown voice catches her off guard. When she turns around to look who it is, she is surprised to see it was the blonde Faunus with a tail she and her team say back at the docks. Not sure what his intentions were she instinctually goes to draw her weapon to which the man simply raises his hands to show he means her no harm.
???: Easy there I'm not looking to fight you! Hell, I'll no doubt be getting my fill of that when the tournament rolls around!
Blake: You're here for the tournament?
???: Yup!
Blake: Then why did you stowaway on that boat if you are a student competing in the Vytal Festival Tournament!?
???: Eh well... the funny thing is I... may have wanted to come early to take in the sites but when I realized I had no cash I thought "If I sneak on board then everything will be alright!" I mean it was... at least until they found me.
Blake: "Your ridiculous" as she goes on to shake her head hearing his explanation as to why he did what he did.
???: What I find ridiculous is why you're hiding what you are behind that little bow.
Blake simply leered at him before taking a deep breath, taking her hand off the hilt of her weapon knowing now that she could at the very least relax around him.
Blake: So, who are you?
???: Ah we're finally getting to introductions, huh? Ok, then I'll go first...
???: Names Sun Wukong, a pleasure to meet ya!
-Two Days Later-
After Blake didn't return for the past two days, Ruby was starting to get worried and decided that she and the rest of her team would begin looking for her shortly after breakfast. The fact that the whole time Blake was a Faunus was still fresh in their minds even more so that she had ties to the White Fang. Regardless of her origins, Ruby wouldn't let that change the fact that she was still their teammate, and she was going to bring her back to Beacon so they can talk it out.
Ruby: She's been gone all weekend...
Weiss: Blake's a big girl so I'm sure she can handle herself just fine.
Yang: Weiss come on she's one of our teammates.
Weiss: Is she? We all heard what she said.
Ruby: Weiss...
Yang: Maybe she is, maybe she isn't. Either way, she's missing, and we need to find her.
Weiss: A member of the White Fang right underneath our noses!
Ruby: I just hope she's ok. Anyway, maybe we'd have better luck finding her if you were helping out too Weiss.
Weiss: You know who'd be able to help? The police!
Ruby could only roll her eyes from Weiss's comment and continued to walk down the sidewalk as her teammate continued to go on.
Weiss: Anyway, once we hear her, you'll all see that I was right!
Penny: And I think Weiss's hair looks wonderful today!
The sudden arrival of Penny took Ruby and her team off guard upon seeing that the person behind them was no other than the girl they meet two days ago, and she wasn't alone either. For Dolan was also with her carrying a large bag in one of his hands.
Ruby: Penny!? What are you doing here?
Weiss: And with him of all people?
Dolan: Nice to see you too, Weisscream~
Weiss: I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT!
Yang: Anyway... what are you doing here?
Penny: Oh well since the tournament is ways away, Dolan believed it would be a good idea to show me around, Vale! Here look at all the cool things I bought!
Dolan hands her the bag and opens it to show all the Vale memorabilia ranging from hats, shirts, and other little knickknacks. As the girls turned to Dolan, they saw the disgruntled look on his face saying "I don't want to talk about it" indicating to them that he no doubt had paid for all the things Penny bought.
Dolan: Yeah soooo... what are you guys up to?
Ruby: Uhhh...
Yang: We're looking for Blake, she ran away and hasn't been back in two days?
Penny: Blake?
Dolan: You know... *Putting his hands on his head to make it look like ears*
Penny: Ooohhh you mean the Faunus girl!
Ruby, Weiss & Yang: ...
Ruby: Wait a sec... how did you two know that she was a Faunus?
Dolan: I've known she was a Faunus since she entered Beacon.
Penny: The cat ears!
Yang: What cat ears? She just wears a... bow... huh I wonder why we never put two and two together?
Dolan: *Face Palm*
A long pregnant pause follows the group for not realizing the obvious signs of Blake's Faunus nature. Even Ruby thinks back to the time how excited Blake was on one occasion when during one of their lunches the cafeteria was serving tuna and sees the look of pure bliss on her face. Dolan could only shake his head in disappointment. If they couldn't figure this out, then it was safe to say they weren't planning on taking on jobs as junior detectives. Finally, Penny broke the silence with her next offer.
Penny: Well, it seems like you're having trouble, but don't you worry Ruby, my friend. I won't rest until I help you in finding your missing teammate!
Ruby: Oh well... that's really nice of you Penny but we're ok, really. Right guys?
...
Ruby: Guys?
She turns around to see that both Dolan and her teammates are gone. She looks around to see where they went and spots them inside one of the stores probably to ask about Blake's whereabouts.
Penny: They have the right idea! It would be much easier to find her if we split up to cover more ground! Guess that means you and I are working together! Isn't that great!?
Ruby: Um... yeah, I guess?
As things grow quiet once again a soft breeze blows a tumbleweed past where Ruby and Penny were standing as if to make things even more awkward between the two of them.
Penny: Huh, it sure is windy today, isn't it?
Meanwhile, in a different part of Vale, Blake and Sun are thinking about what to do concerning the White Fang issue. At the moment Blake is still not convinced that they are really behind all the Dust robberies all due to the simple fact that they've never needed so much Dust. That is until Sun comes up with the idea to prove whether or not it was really them by going to a spot where they would most likely be. He further goes on to say that while he was stowing away on the boat ride to Vale, he overheard some of the people talk about how there'd be a huge shipment of Dust being offloaded from Atlas on a Schnee company freighter.
Blake: The only way to figure out what's going on is to intercept whoever is doing this and catch them. You wouldn't happen to know when the shipment would be arriving, would you?
Sun: If those guys were right then it should be arriving no later than ten o clock.
Blake: Alright, then let's head over to the docks and find a safe place to do some recognizance.
Sun: Sounds like a plan! Man, this might turn out to be quite the night, huh!?
Blake: This isn't a game Sun, this is serious! I need to get to the bottom of this and find out what's really going on! Can I count on you or not!?
Sun: Relax, I was just trying to lighten the mood is all, geez. Look this is important to you, I get that. Just know that if things start to turn ugly know that I've got your back, kay!?
Blake: Ok... thank you, Sun.
Sun: No problem!
-Roman's Hideout-
Baron: When is the shipment supposed to arrive exactly?
Roman: About ten o clock, why?
Baron: There's something in Vale I'd like to check up on while here. Think you can manage this for a little bit?
Roman: Well... with Neo off doing gods know what I'll have to manage this all by myself. You're not going to take long with your little errand, are you?
Baron: No, like I said I just want to check up on something and then I'll be back when you and the others begin grabbing the Dust.
Roman: Alrighty then, but out of curiosity just what is it you need to do exactly?
It takes a moment for Barron to respond. It was almost as if he wasn't sure how he could put it into words. Finally, he turns to Roman to give him an answer.
Baron: Just... paying my respects is all.
