A moody goth girl at a new college

Scarlet sighs as she sets her bag down next to her bed. She just moved to the shitty city about a month ago to go to school here. Her parents are packed with cash and decided to make the decision to send her here without her consent. She's pissed right now, having to move away from her friends to this massive ass city to a school full of people she knows she won't like. Everyone here is either a turbo nerd, a preppy jock or cheerleader, or a party animal just looking to score. Or at least her tour on campus showed her as much...

To make this whole situation worse, she has to put up with a roommate... A roommate that'll more than likely be someone in those 3 categories of annoyances.

Opening her bag up and pulling out a bunch of different knickknacks Scarlet starts decorating her little section of the dorm, topping it off with a torn dreamcatcher at the foot of her bed. She takes a step back and gives a little smirk. At least she was still allowed to decorate how she wanted.

She reaches into her bag for anything else she missed and finds a small object at the bottom. She pulls it out and finds a small ring with a paper attached, she flips it around and reads it.

_"Here's a little gift to cheer you up while your away. _-Dad"

She rolls her eyes_ _at the gift from her father. He was always working and barely had the time of day to spend any time with her before, but now he's acting like he cares.

"At least it matches the rest of my style..." Scarlet thinks, staring at the black ring sitting in her palm. She sets it down on her desk and looks in the mirror. Her short black hair sits on her head, the slight sheen to it is occasionally broken up by red highlights. She didn't have time to dress properly this morning so she simply threw on a black t-shirt and ripped pants, covering her slightly bottom heavy body. She'll worry more about her outfit later... Piercings adorn her body from hesd to toe, showing off how much of a rebel she is. She turns around and stares at her back, her eyes shifting to a tattoo of a wilted rose on the base of her neck.

Her attitude and style has been criticized by many. A lot of people don't like how "rebellious" she is. But the more they push against her the harder she'll push back...

She touches up her dark makeup in the mirror, thinking about what her next move is. When suddenly the door to the dorm creaks open, she turns her head and sighs when she realizes it's her new roommate.
