Something Heavy

The barmaid raises her eyebrow at you. Looking you up and down before laughing to herself. Her cheery smile cracked for a moment into a darker smirk. Though when you blink, she's smiling happily at you.

“All right! Toughie eh? Think you can take it? Hehe. Let's see how you can handle skunk ale. Their berries make you absolutely noxious. But if you brew it right. The stuff’ll knock you off your feet. Hehe”

She pulls out a bright red bottle, with an image of a skunks ass on it, and some gold designs spidering around the bottle.

She pours it out into a tumbler, with some cherries, an orange, and some honey. She grabs the tumbler and winks at you as she hides it behind her.

A moment later, she pulls it away, and you see her pour the mixture into your glass, all mixed together with no signs of the fruit and instead a smooth honey like red liquid.

"Here you go! Don't go drinking it all at once!"

She smirks a little at you while handing the drink and looks at you intently as she waits for you to drink it.

Your first sips aren’t too bad. Its strong for sure, with a scent that reminds you oddly of lightly roasting wood. You feel a Nostalgia for some reason as you sip the drink. More and more goes down your throat, burning a little but also tasting like the perfect drink for your needs.

Before you know it, there are three more empty glasses of the red ale in front of you. The waitress seems to have tripled, and three of them talk to you at the same time with the same knowing smirk.

"Don't know who you were trying to impress, but I knew you couldn't handle it, you idiot. Ugh. Just don’t puke on the bar!"
