Chapter 8 by AnonTea
What's next?
Visitors... and a shock
She washes you clean from the past few hours' grime, using her bare hands to scrub each little spot she can reach. Of course, she doesn't let up on the flirting - though you really doubt grinding her crotch against your own could merely be classified as 'flirtatious'.
You learn her name. 'Zara'. As she dresses you while not so subtly feeling at your chest a little, you learn she's an apothecary of sorts. She sells elixirs and brews at the various black markets of Pfollin, but can only break even due to a lack of sales.
As you both part ways, you blow each other flying kisses. She hasn't noticed, but you've slipped your earnings for today into her cloak. You think she deserves it more than you do.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Returning to your room, you find... that very same rogue you pumped full of cum a while ago. She's dressed in dark grey clothes, as one might expect from a rogue, but it seems she's gotten an upgrade recently.
Instead of the usual ragged and simplistic garb that she wore last you saw her, now she's in a proper rogue's garb. The vault-robbing, government-defying kind...
"Look," you say, "I know we had a good time, but I don't think you should consider someone like little old me to accompany you in a heist..."
"...is that the first think you thought of asking?" She replies.
"I just don't want to be involved is all. Got enough problems on my hand is all-"
"Like how you're the Dark Lord's long-lost son, perchance?"
You stagger, quickly recovering and drawing your dagger. "Very few people know about that, and they're either dead or want me dead."
She raises a hand as a show of peace. "Easy... I'm not a Templar, if that's what you're wondering... but something bigger than me's come up. About you."
You lower the dagger, but don't place it back in your robes just yet. Squinting your eyes, you say to her "...What exactly came up?"
She contemplates something. "Do I rip the bandaid off or do I give it to you slowly?"
"Rip the bandaid off, I guess..?"
"You sure? This news could change your life... and mine too. Maybe even the lives of everyone in the world."
"What news could possibly be so important? Am I, I dunno, the Legendary Hero reborn or something?"
Then she gives you a look.
"...you aren't joking, are you?"
She gives you a look.
You've learned how to read peoples' expressions. It was a must, to know whether or not someone's going to scam or cheat you out of your precious gold. You aren't as good as some are, but you know whether or not someone's giving you bullshit.
And she isn't.
And your whole world shatters.
Your dagger drops to the floor, and you fall over, sweating madly. You're shivering like ice has just been shoved down all your clothes.
This is some groundbreaking news to you. Just a regular old day, and all of a sudden you're told by someone, with a straight face and the most serious tone you've ever heard, that you're the closest thing the people have to a god among men.
You don't have the proof yet, but something's telling you that she isn't lying. You... admittedly, you've only spent a little time with her, but you've read total strangers before and yielded accurate results.
"Hah... hahaha..! Good one! You got any proof to back that up?"
She sighs. "Come with me. And grab your dagger, the Sisterhood's got an unusually high presence around here."
Surely not by any fault of yours. Still quivering a little, you pick up your dagger and follow her.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Heading out of the Big Roof's main entrance, you take a twisting path to... somewhere. Probably her hideout. Left, right, go straight at the branching path, right and left and straight again.
After a long walk and several near run-ins with the Sisterhood, you arrive at an underground den. A cloth covers the entranceway. You've regained your confidence, and think There's no way! She's probably just joking with you, and you... overreacted...
You realise you've subconsciously walked into the den and straight at a covered-up small orb. A plate armored lady with her helmet and breastplate removed sits next to it. At the back of your head, you note her huge tits.
The rogue follows you in. She sits down next to the lady knight, and gestures for you to "Sit down."
You resist the urge to touch the orb and **** yourself to sit, opposite of the two.
"What's this about?" You ask.
The two look at each other. They begin heatedly whispering. You only catch small snippets of their dialogue: "...sure it's him?" "...felt like it..." "...stupid!" "...kind heart, he helped a shade..."
Wait a second. "Have you been... spying on me, lady?!"
"It's Gwylan. This is Auth'shyr."
"How do you know I helped someone?"
"Well, most liars would jump to it and say how they definitely helped a person in need. You care about your privacy and try to keep it secret which... well, you'll find out.
You try to ask what she means before she lifts up the cover on the orb. You're nearly blinded by the light, but it warms you. Your eyesight quickly recovers, and you look directly at the glowing sphere.
It feels to you that it is made of pure goodness and happiness and it just feels so _right! _You're drawn to it. You feel like... you belong here. You feel empowered, strengthened!
Your eyes glow the same colour as its light as it levitates into the air. It glows brighter than ever before, and you reach out to touch it with your own two hands.
Then severe pain in your chest adds itself to those many feelings. As though someone's burning you there. It disappears in the pool of feelings... then it comes back with a vengeance.
The pain amplifies, but you hold on to those feelings. You don't want to let go, no! They're the most important thing in the world, it says to you! Keep holding on!
Then, your mother comes. She tells you of power, riches and pussy galore, if you let the pain take you! It's tempting... but mom wanted you to be good. You won't break her promise. Feelings of good soon begin to overpower your dark desires, but they won't budge any further.
Then you think about that asshole you can barely call a father. And six words come to mind:
I don't wanna be like him.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
You come to lying on your back. The orb is gone, but those feelings of good and right still feel like they're there. Just... a bit stronger now.
You sit up, and the two women are staring at you like you ate the orb, their mouths agape.
Gwylan recovers quickly, smiling at you. "Well... looks like good won over the dark in the end."
Auth'sh- you just think of her as Shie for now, screw it- shakes her head and rubs her eyes.
"The legends are true! A shade, the new legendary hero!"
But there are footsteps. She puts on her armor, emblazoned with the-
"HOLD ON! A fucking Templar!"
"Shhh! They won't dare touch the great hero, even if you're the Dark Lord's son!"
You look at her.
"Wait a second. You're actually the Dark Lord's son, are you? Oh, that doesn't matter."
"Really?" You reply. "It really mattered to your sisters."
"I'm very sorry, but we should focus on whoever's above us right now. Loud footsteps means lots of people, and this is a real unpopular area..."
The Sister Templar hands you a shortsword. You feel its weight in your hands, and get used to it a little. You quickly get into a simple combat stance and get ready to ambush the next person who heads down the stairs...
Prepare for battle!
