The fall out

After they had been caught. They were both sent to their rooms with strict orders not to come out until the morning, unless they needed the toilet. In the morning, Jane sat at the breakfast table, very disturbed by what she saw in the early hours that morning. After finishing her morning tea. She decided it was time to wake her kids up and deal with the situation. Heading upstairs and shouting loudly. "Get up both of you. NOW." Both Jade and Steven woke up instantly. Dreading what their mum was going to say. By now however, equilibrium had been restored and both the siblings had massive regret over their union.

Once downstairs they sat at the breakfast table with Jane. Not looking her in the eyes, or even each others. Jane was the first to speak

"I've had time to calm down from what happened this morning. Now, I knew the two of you were close, but that? That was ****. How long has this been going on?"

Jade Spoke. "First time mum." She then looked up. "I don't know what came over me. It was like I was possessed. When Steven picked me up last night. Something stirred in me. Something I can't get my finger around. I love him yes, but not like that. But for some reason for that time, I was in love with him. Something made me do it and now I'm at a loss to explain it."

"Jade. You're not on birth control. You know you have to be careful. If it wasn't for your damn allergy to the pill at least we could put this behind us and move on. If what you're saying is true. Now, Well, Lets just hope you don't end up having your own niece or nephew."

"It's ok mum. I'm not at that time now. It was just something that I said in the heat of the moment."

Jane then looked at Steven. "You've not said a word yet young man."

"I don't know what to say. All can remember is picking Jade up, getting back before she practically **** me. It wasn't long before I became a willing participant. But, I don't just feel guilty for that. I feel guilty for another reason. I can't tell you why. Cause I'm not sure why." His feelings for Ellen coming back stronger than ever

"Oh shit. Mum. We could have a bigger problem than that." Both Steven and Jane looked at Jade. "Stevie. What do you remember from last night?"

"What. You mean did I like it or something?" Jade shook her head. "Ok, or was it the fact that I couldn't last as long as I would've liked too?

"STEVEN." Jane clearly wasn't impressed with his answers.

"Sorry mum, Didn't mean it that way. I thought Jade was asking if I remembered everything we did this morning on the couch."

"That's not what I meant at all Stevie. But I will admit. It felt good. And I'm still a bit sore after that having that massive pole up..."

"ENOUGH." Jane silenced Jade before she could finish. "Let's bring it back down to sensible now shall we?" Both her children nodded. "Now, as you was saying Jade. What is this BIGGER problem you mention.

"Ok. Stevie. I'll rephrase my last sentence. Do you remember anything between me phoning you to get me and us, well. Fucking."

"No, not much. I remember getting to the nightclub. Oh, by the way mum. I borrowed the car to pick Jade up last night. Some creepy guy wouldn't leave her alone so I wanted to get there as soon as. I had a slight argument with the guy on the door. Beyond that, it's a blank until I escorted Jade out the door. Why, Is it important?"

"Important. Stevie you pushed the guy so hard, he went flying across the dance floor. There was at least 15 people that went down when he hit their legs. Not to mention the fact that he went at least 20 feet across the room from your push. But it was you eyes. Don't you know?

"Know what Jade. What about my eyes?

"They changed Stevie. It was like looking into the eyes of." Jade struggled to find a reference that they would all understand. "Best thing I can say is. It was like looking into the eyes of, an Autobot. They glowed a bright blue. Like you head blue lights behind them." Both Jane and Steven looked at Jade. "I'm serious guys. We better switch BBC news on. I'm telling you now. The cat's out of the bag," They got up and rushed to the living room and switched the telly on to see if anything came up. Which it did. Just then, Steven's phone rung.

"It's John." He then answered. "Hiya mate. I suppose you heard." The call was short. With Steven telling John that it was him the news was talking about. Jade was busy what's apping her friends not to say anything to the media. Making it clear that it was a matter of urgency that they keep it quiet that they know the bright eyed stranger. They all agreed. They all liked Steven, A couple of them fancied him, but didn't want anything to cause problems between the friendship they had with Jade.

Jane turned off the T.V. "I think It's best you keep a low profile Steven. Give people time to forget your face. But you have to find a way to control things before you do anything like that again. You was right about what you said about causing more harm than good. Once you get used to how this works, you'll be fine. I believe that."

"Thank you mum. I'm not going anywhere now. Anyway, John said he's coming over. He wants to know what happened. Jade, Can you stay here. I might need your help explaining to John what happened last night."

"Yeah. No problem. Mum, would you be able to get the rest of the week off of work. We've got a lot to get our heads round now."

"I've already phoned in and asked for emergency leave. How little I knew THIS was going to be the main reason why."

"Better not mention to John that we fucked though Steven. I don't think that would go down to well."

"Yeah. But I have a confession to make myself on that front."

"I don't want to hear it if it's anything I don't want hear." Jane was fearing that they was looking to do it again.

"No mum. John told me something before I went hospital a few weeks back. Before I was ready to die, and he wanted me to know something. Something he was scared to admit to anyone. Especially you, Jade." Jade looked at Steven.

"He likes me?" Steven nodded. "Wow. Tell him to ask me out. I like him too."

Jane felt a massive weight lift of her shoulders. "Thank god for that. At least I know we've now moved past this mornings events. That just leaves you now Steven. I hope you have your eyes on someone when you get your head sorted."

"Maybe mum. Maybe." Still wresting with his feelings. "I'm not sure of anything at the moment."
