Free Julia

You feel you can't let her to her faith like that... {if Befriended Julia = true}She might have had her little pranks on you, but still...{endif}

While Henri is busy enjoying his newfound kingship, you try to find where he might have taken Julia... Your best guess is to ask George, he is the lord of the castle, after all!

George: Lily! Long time no see!

Lily: George, it has been only a few days!

George: But I have still missed such a beautiful sight as yours!

Lily: You never run out of flattery, are you?

George: Only when "King" Henri runs out of people to arrest of publicly humiliate...

Lily: How bad is the situation...?

George: He had taken a couple of noblemen to the dungeons of my castle. Most were known to oppose him from the beginning... Just like Julia but... She got the worst of it...

Lily: That is exactly why I am here. I can't let them rot there like this!

George: You want to free them?! That is way too dangerous right now! If Henri hears of this, he will kill you right away! Or after he does similar things to you as he had done to Julia!

Lily: I know, I don't want to save them all... Only Julia. She deserves better than this.

George: I agree. She was a bit rough sometimes, but her loyalty towards the crown was unquestionable.

Lily: Do you know anything about her whereabouts?

George: I know her exact location. Henri had her taken to the southwestern tower. She is located at the top room of it. He is known to have said: "A duchess belongs to the highest tower, just like in the tales... But this time, there will be no noble saviour coming to the rescue. She will either die here or take her own life by jumping out the window... Up to you how this tale ends". My men were ordered by him to guard all the prisoners. The others are in the dungeons under very heavy watch. She might be easier to reach, Henri expects nobody to dare to oppose him.

Lily: Oh that man...

George: Yes, an unbelievable fellow... I still have no idea how he could poison the king without being seen by his men! Do you know anything about it?

Lily (lying): Ehm, no, didn't hear anything on that...

George: If only I could find that coward who did it! I would have them impaled by my sword right away...!

George: A few of my soldiers guard the place, I can tell you when they change shifts, that would make your job easier. But remember, some of my men are always watching and I have no authority to call them away from there... And even if you sneak inside when their shifts change, you won't be able to get out during that same one, so you have to find a way to get out through a different way...

Lily: Hm...

George: I think it is way too dangerous for you to do alone! I too would like to see Julia freed, but you can't take this task on your own!

Lily: Than get some help!

George: We can't trust anybody right now! Maybe some of Julia's men would help but... I have my doubts, if even one of them tells anything to Henri...

Lily: I know, we are done for... Do you not have any man you would trust enough to help us in this situation?

George: I would have a few, but please, understand, I can't take such risks for Julia... I do not want to be involved this deeply in this. I must admit, I fear for my life... I would gladly die in battle anytime, but to be hanged in my own castle... That is not an end I desire.

Lily: I understand. I will try to find a way out once I could free Julia.

George: You still want to do it?! I have just tried to persuade you to forget this idea!

Lily: I am not letting her to her faith... Henri handles women in the cruellest of ways... I want nobody to suffer those things...

George: So I can't persuade you... At least promise me this. You will come back in one piece, with or without Julia!

Lily: George, I promise! And I promise will free her!

George: I will do all I can to assist you. Maybe I can make some loud noises to distract them for a minute or so... Just give me a signal.

Lily: What signal?

George: I have no idea, improvise! Something I will know it is you!

Lily: Okay, I will find a way to signal you. Thank you for helping with this!

George: Naturally, I can't let you do anything like that alone! How would I face Michael later on in the afterlife?! I didn't come to his wife's aid in the time of need? I am no man of dishonour!

Lily: Yes, he has told me long tales of how you two used to be duelling day and night! Even over a slice of beef once!

George: That was a very delicious slice of beef, just to let you know! And he cheated during the duel anyway!

Lily: Riiight, I am not here to judge that... We are here to free Julia.

George: Yeah, true. Just give me a signal when you are ready to flee to tower.

Lily: What signal?

George: I have no idea, improvise! Something I will know it is you!

Later, you are at the tower, waiting for the time George told you his men would change shifts and thus, give you a short time to get past them. The moment arrives, all the guards march away from the door of the stairs without even waiting for their comrades to arrive.

Lily (thinking): Hmm, just how reliable George's guards are... It is good he has survived that long with such men protecting him...!

You sneak past them and get to climb the stairs. George told you, there will be but one man guarding the door to Julia. You walk straight towards him as you think of a plan to get past him.
