In Charge

Your eyes open to the sun peeking through your curtains. The gentle warmth of the sunlight caresses your face as you lay on your bed. You remember a bit of a crazy dream you had been having before awaking. You were floating in a realm of light and heard a powerful voice reverberate through your body.

“You are now omnipotent. This and any other universe are yours to do with as you wish.”

You think to yourself how amazing it would be if that were actually true. A charge of energy flows through you and you feel more awake than usual even though you just woke up. The dream still is so vivid in your mind that you can’t think of anything other than the voice’s words. You decide to humor yourself and walk to the mirror on the door of your room. You are wearing the tank top and boxer-briefs that you slept in.

“Alright, if I really am omnipotent then the clothes I am wearing should disappear.”

You truly did not expect to feel the air on you naked body but your eyes confirmed that you were now totally naked. A feeling of shock comes over you as you process the impossibility of what had happened. You are actually omnipotent! You think of how to use should use your new powers first.
