Addiction

The next day you endure the usual teasing from the girls, although Victor joining in is a bit of a surprise. He doesn’t say much, but a few grins and the occasional comment coming a long way from the normally understated panther man. Despite all that, everyone seems happy with what happened, and you all begin to plan the next leg of the journey.

As for Addie, she spends the whole day with a smile on her face, although she definitely seems to be tired and sore. More often than not she seems to find an excuse to be near wherever you are, something that Melora mentions is unusual. Even more interesting is the comment she makes around mid day.

“You’ah plannin' on stickin' ahround fawr a couple mawah days, right?”

You look up from the plans that Victor and Melora are drawing up. “If that’s ok with you, yes. We’d like to rest up before we leave.”

Addie looks nervous for the first time since you’ve met her. “If it’s not too much trouble, would ya be fahkin' willing ta spend the night with me again tonight? I reckon I need a little bit mawah from ya…”

Melora and Victor share a surprised glance. You look around the table at the girls before answering. “I suppose that’s up to the girls. I don’t want them feeling neglected.”

Addie answers quickly. “I understand. If one of them wants ta join in, I would be stoked with that too.”

Immediately, both Alex and Cassie raise their hands. You chuckle. “It seems we have some volunteers already. Tell you what, Addie, Alex and I will join you tonight, and if you’re still not satisfied tomorrow, Cassie and I can handle the next night. Sound good?”

Addie nods excitedly. “That sounds bloody fahkin' wonderful! I’ll leave ya ta it, then!”

With that, the kangaroo girl practically hops away, humming a happy tune. You turn back to the table to find Melora staring at you. “What in the world did you do to that woman? She never does this!”

Across the table, Alex, Cassie, and Sarah are struggling to contain their giggles. Meanwhile, beside you, Ferra shrugs. “It sounds like Nicholas did exactly as Sarah predicted.”

Melora looks confused, until the hellhound laughingly explains. “I told her that Nicholas would cure her addiction to one night stands!”

Though it’s unnecessary, Alex cuts in with the rest. “Now she’s addicted to his dick!”

Melora rolls her eyes, but now she’s laughing too. Chuckling yourself, you stand up from the table. “Well, I don’t think we’ll get any more planning done today. I’m going to look around the village a bit, see if I can talk to people.”

Ferra stands and takes your hand. As usual, she’s sticking with you. As the two of you leave, you hear Cassie call out.
