The Movies

"Ohhhh this'll be fun I've been wanting to see the new Marvel movie but haven't had time once all this started. Having real superpowers beats watching fake ones." Jess smiled as they pulled up to the local movie theater.

"Yea if you think we are watching that you are sorely mistaken. Girls night out so we're gonna watch that." Amy said pointing to a poster of the latest rom-com with a couple standing in the rain.

"Really..... that looks lame." Jess complained.

"Don't worry I can fix that." Jess smiled reaching for her glasses.

"No! Nnonnonoo it'll be fine who knows maybe just the body will help right?!?" Jess said quickly backing away. "You know I'll go get the popcorn ok. You go find us the seats." As he approached the counter to order the gaze of the highschool boy working the counter was fixed dead on his chest. 'God I hope I didn't do that when I was a kid.' Jess thought. "Eh.. hemm! I'd like a large popcorn please."

"Wha... oh yea sure." The kid said snapping out of it and getting her a bag. "Here you are miss. That's gonna be 10 dollars."

"Sure one sec..." Jess said as she reached for her wallet, only to realize that it wasn't there. 'Shoot did I drop it?' She thought patting her pockets and finding all of them empty. Then she remembered Amy telling her the pockets in her current jeans weren't really for practical purposes and made her put her stuff in a purse. But she wasn't used to carrying one of those around yet and left it in the car. "I guess I won't be getting that then seem to have forgotten my purse."

"Ohh well that's alright take it anyway." The kid said holding it out.

"Really are you sure?" Jess said happy to be getting a free snack.

"Yea anything for beautiful girl like you." He said flashing a wide smile.

"Thhanks I guess...." Jess stammered taking it from him but reeling from being hit on for the first time, and by a kid that was about half his regular age.

"No problem, we would have had to throw it out anyway. If you need anything else just ask for Mark. I should still be around for the next couple hours. If you want we can hang out after your movie is over?" Mark said shooting his shot. Jess looked back at him and from the outside observer would have looked like a deer caught in the headlights. She racked her brain with a way out of the situation but her brain just kept freezing up. She realized she had to say something and finally she **** her mouth open.

"K" And then Jess quickly retreated towards her theater. _'"k..... K!" That's what you come up with. Mr. part time half your age movie theater cashier asks you out and you say "K"! How stupid of a girl are you! Ahhhh I can't even think of myself as a girl cause of Amy making me think I'm a girl not a girl.' _Frustrated she entered the screening room and frantically looked for Amy. She saw her waving to her from the last row in the theater and quickly climbed up the stairs. Though quickly she found was a mistake as it sent her chest bouncing wildly forcing her to slow down her climb.

"Everything ok?" Amy asked as Jess plopped down next to her.

"Just that I can't even think of myself as a girl cause of your stupid power. ahhhhhh!" She cried.

"Yea I can see how..." Amy started.

"AND!" Jess cut off turning to her. "I just got asked out by the teenager working the concession stand!"

"Aww I missed it!" Amy replied. "Was he cute?!? What did he say? What did you say?!?"

"What did I say!" Jess said incredulously. "What did I say to the kid behind the counter who's almost half my age! I said 'K'"

"K?!?" Amy asked puzzled.

"K! Now he thinks we're gonna go out after this movie."

"Why didn't you just tell him no?" Amy questioned.

"Cause that would have been the smart thing to do. Instead I froze up cause I've never been hit on by a guy before. What was I supposed to tell him? 'Sorry you're nice but I'm actually a dude who has magic powers and I'm currently using them to look like the hottie you see before you. I'm sure you understand.' So I just said K." Jess recalled exasperated.

"Well yea you didn't wanna tell him that."

"No shit Amy. Did you bring any clothes I can use to change? I don't wanna have to face that kid again."

"A change of clothes to the Movies... No can't say that I did. There are still some in the car but we aren't doing that. You're gonna have to get used to being hit on eventually if you keep going out in bodies like the this so might as well get some practice on some kid." Amy said.

"Mark." Jess replied.

"What?" Amy questioned.

"Some kid is named Mark." Jess groaned.

"Ohhhh on a first name basis with him are we? If you aren't careful I might get jealous of Mark." Amy teased.

"Not funny." Jess said burying her head in her hands.

"Oh I think it's hilarious. I guess I better be good to you for this movie otherwise Mark might steal you away." Amy said raising Jess's head by the chin and placing a long kiss on her lips. "I guarantee Mark can't kiss that good. When you let him down just tell him the truth."

"That I'm a dude?"

"No silly. That you already have a girlfriend."
