BOOOOOOOM

A ball of fire sends you flying into the cavern wall. The fire consumes the spriggan as it fails to put itself out. The rest of the greenery seems to catch alight as a small pair of hands pulls you to safety. Warm energy fills your body as you look up to see Petra casting a healing spell on you.

“Holy shit.” You say glancing between Petra and the spreading fire. “Did you do that?”

“Not quite, I found him, he casted it.” She says gesturing to a very exhausted looking Gilly. You notice his palms look notably scorched with black ash.

“Wha- how’d he manage that?”

Between breaths Gilly speaks, staggering his way over to you.

"Scroll of Hellfire. Very hard to use, very expensive, emergencies only.”

“Expensive is one thing, but aren’t those things ancient and notoriously rare!?”

“Yeah, old magic beats old monster. A standard fireball wouldn’t have touched it. Glad I know how to use scrolls!”

“How much do I bloody owe ya fer that?”

“Hm? Nothing. That scroll was given to me by family, pretty sure they have more. They won’t mind.”
