Getting out of dodge

You stand to address the other two.

“Well, that was enough excitement fer the day. We should head back to town.”

“Yeah, no arguments here.” Petra says still shaken. Gilly runs over to the water and attempts to clean his scorched palms. After some time, you all manage to dress before making your way up and out of the cave. Daylight partially blinds you as you take in the fresh smell of early evening air outside.

“Hey guys.” Gilly says with a sly look on his face. “What do you think was down the other tunnel?”

You shrug. “Don’t know and after that, I’m not sure I wanna know.”

The walk back is rather quiet. Clearly the day’s event left everyone a little drained. Upon reaching town you say your goodbyes to Petra and Gilly before making your way to the inn for the night.
