Withholding Truths

Nicole let out a shocked hum as Anna's hand grabbed her red-haired friend's shirt, pulling her forcefully against her lips. Anna kissed with a sudden hunger that no one, not even Nicole, could have expected from the normally innocent blonde girl. Anna's lips broke against Nicole's a few short times before the redhead finally had the wherewithal to grab Anna by her shoulders and shove her back down onto the bed. Nicole rolled off Anna, hopping down onto the floor, and staring at her friend with wide eyes, truly more than ever before, Nicole didn't have a word to say.

Anna let out a sly smile and sat up on her elbows, looking at her agape best friend, "What? You trying to tell me that you're nervous for once?" The blonde asked with an amused smile,

"Anna...what the fuck was that?!" Nicole finally retorted as she brought two fingers to her tingling lips, "You just fucking kissed me!"

Anna stared back at Nicole, her smile fading away while a single slow blink muted her face completely, "I...I was following your lead?"

"What?!" The addled redhead asked back, "I wasn't trying to hook up with your girl, I was only trying to show you some tricks for your boyfriend!" Nicole exclaimed, running a hand through her hair, "Fuck, Anna, what got into you?"

"Don't be like that, I didn't --" Anna stumbled back as she fully sat up in the bed, "You were doing all that bumping and grinding stuff on me, having me feel you while you felt me and the whole time you had me thinking of Kenny, I got...caught up in a moment!"

"So this is my fault?" Nicole asked back, cupping a hand over her eyes and groaning, "Oh fuck, Kenny is going to fucking kill me..."

"What?" Anna asked, her voice dropping in almost complete terror, "W-What do you mean Kenny is going to kill y-you?"

Nicole slowly lowered her hand, gave her friend a bewildered shake of her head, and tossed a hand up, "What the fuck do you think I mean? I just...made out with his girlfriend, when he hears it he's going to be so fucking mad,"

"No!" Anna exclaimed while jumping right off the bed and running up to Nicole, taking the girl's hands in hers, "No Nicole, you can not tell Kenny this happened, okay? You can not, please!"

"Anna, he is your boyfriend and he's also my friend, we can't just lie to the guy," Nicole argued back,

"I'm not saying we lie, all I'm saying is we don't tell him anything he doesn't ask about, okay?" Anna replied with a pleading smile,

"What the hell is going on with you?" Nicole snapped back as she ripped her hands out of Anna's, "You'd never suggest I'd do that if the situation was flipped,"

Anna's eyes almost welled and she cupped her hands together, "Please, Nicole, I'm begging you as a best friend, you can't tell him that happened. I -- I can't let one little moment take away everything I have with Kenny, we just started dating and I really like him! It feels right with him!"

"And that's great, but you still owe it to the fucking guy to let him know you locked lips with someone else..." Nicole replied, her tone sounding a bit more **** and sympathetic now,

"Nicole...after everything you did with Eric when we were dating, can you please just...give me a fucking break here and do me a favor for once?" Anna asked in one final beg,

"With Eric? Anna, what the hell are you talking about?" Nicole softly asked back, tilting her head and staring back at her in complete confusion, "Eric and I never did anything together, I never would have! You're my best friend, I wouldn't cheat with your boyfriend!"

"You didn't sleep with him but all your flirting and fucking teasing got into his head! He was thinking about you while he was with me, he admitted it to me! I don't fucking know if it was intentional and I don't fucking care anymore either! This time though, I am asking you as your best friend, please don't do this! Don't screw up the only other relationship I've ever had!"

"Anna I..." Nicole whispered as she felt a torrent of shame wash over her body. The redhead, of course, had no idea about Eric, in her mind whenever she was around him everything was joking and in good fun. She only ever wanted to help Anna in her relationships, not be a reason for them to fail, "Anna, I'm sorry about what happened with Eric, I wish you would have told me this all sooner so I could have done something but that...doesn't connect with this," Anna shut her eyes and her head started to drop down, "I won't say anything," Nicole suddenly said, but it was obvious how tough those words came from her mouth, "But you should, keeping secrets like that never help,"

"Oh my God, thank you, Nikki!" Anna gasped in relief while quickly pulling the girl into a squeezing hug, "Thank you, thank you, thank you. I promise, it was just a weird accident, I won't ever let it happen again!"

"I believe you, I do, but still, think about telling him. It starts at little lies but...things have a habit of becoming worse from there," Nicole reluctantly replied, "I'm may not be the one who dates, but even I know honesty matters,"

"And I will be honest with Kenny, this is just something we bury in a very deep, very dark, hole, okay?" Anna asked as she pulled back and looked Nicole in the eye. Once again the redhead nodded and Anna gave a relieved smile, hugging her tightly again.

It was just at this point that Kenny came walking into the bedroom, the pair spun around and Anna all but lit up, running over to him and pulling into a deep, happy kiss. The teen let out a humming laugh as he kissed the blonde back before pulling away, "Did I miss something important in here?" He asked with a chuckle, "Sorry if I interrupted,"

"No, I just missed you," Anna warmly replied before glancing over to Nicole, "And no, we were just finishing up anyway, you know, girl talk," Nicole gave a silent nod of an agreement but couldn't help herself but flick her eyes back to Anna, surprised at how smoothly she was covering everything up,

"Good timing then, JJ and I are fixing up dinner, figured I'd come to grab you and Nicole to come and eat," Kenny explained, giving a quick thumb behind him,

"Sounds great!" Anna agreed in a chipper tone,

"You two go ahead, I'll be down in a minute or two," Nicole added on with a **** happy smile,

"Okay Nikki, see you soon then," Kenny casually replied as he and Anna headed out of the bedroom hand in hand, "Glad you two had a chance to talk," The teen said to the blonde as they entered the hallway,

"Me too," Anna grinned, her free hand moving over and giving Kenny a quick light squeeze on the crotch, "I also had a little bit of time to think of a few more things for us to do after dinner," Kenny returned the smile fully and continued along his way, all the more eager to eat and get back to their bedroom now.
