Surprising Evidence from Yawena

Yawena stood up as he talked about the company’s policies. “When we discovered that Miss Johnson did not meet our policies, we decided that it was time to part ways,” Mr Yawena explained. “All of which was within the legal bounds.”

“Exhibit A,” Mr Yawena said. “As you can see this image clearly violates our policies.”

“Which policies?” Alexa’s lawyer, Monica asked.

“Section 2.2 B,” Yawena said.

“Can you clarify?” Monica asked.

“Our policies clearly value maturity and the acknowledgement that alternative lifestyles do not fit the company’s image,” Yawena said. “It came to our attention that Miss Johnson violated multiple parts of our policy. As you can see by this image as well.”

It was an image of Alexa laying flat on her back, legs open, diaper underneath. Carol’s body barely protected her. Alexa’s eyes widened. “W-where did you get that?”

“As you can see, this does not represent maturity,” Mr Yawena said. “Along with these images.”

A picture of Alexa with the skirt of her dress in the air, her diaper exposed was put on display. “That’s from the park, I don’t understand,” Alexa mumbled.

Yawena flipped through several images of Alexa’s believed private moments including one that Alexa recognized as a private picture she had sent to Devon. “Wait…” Alexa said, her head getting dizzy.

“But Miss Johnson needs her diapers for medical reasons,” Monica said. “That doesn’t give the company authority to fire Alexa. And according to this recorded phone call, you did not express this as your reason for firing Miss Johnson. My question is, what were you doing at the fair the same weekend Alexa was fired?”

“I was simply enjoying my time when I discovered an image that sealed the nail in the coffin. I immediately knew that Miss Johnson was not fit for the company,” Mr Yawena said.

“When you said that you had a problem with this image, Mr Yawena, what exactly was the issue if you already knew that Alexa needed to wear diapers?” Monica asked as she gestured to the ferris wheel image.

“It doesn’t represent the company’s standards,” Mr Yawena said.

“Mr Yawena, your honor, I am under the belief that Alexa Johnson was fired because she was seen kissing someone who identifies as the same sex as she does,” Monica said. “If the sole reason for firing was because of the diapers, then according to Mr Yawena’s story, Alexa would have been fired about 6 months ago. But that’s not the case. He only fired her after seeing the image of the ferris wheel as presented in Exhibit A. The only thing different between the images presented and Exhibit A, is the girl in the picture that Alexa is kissing. I can only assume this is the problem because Mr Yawena refuses to elaborate why Alexa was fired. He says that it’s for her alternative lifestyle, but doesn’t clarify what that is. Under the ruling of the Discrimination Act and another ruling by the Supreme Court, Alexa Johnson should be protected. Unless Yawena wishes to clarify another reason that Alexa should be let go, then I believe her position within the company should be reinstated, and if these reasons are seen as true, then Alexa should be paid for damages and discrimination and Mr Yawena should be removed from the company.”

The judge nodded and turned to Mr Yawena. “Do you have any further clarification?”

Mr Yawena shook his head. “I wish for recess,” he said.

The judge nodded and gave everyone a 15 minute break. Mr Yawena and Alexa stepped into a room with all their respective parties. “Where did you get those pictures?” Carol asked.

“It doesn’t matter,” Mr Yawena said. “Look, I’m willing to offer $1.2 Million to settle this lawsuit.”

“That’s not enough,” Carol said. “And if we go for settlement, I want you removed from the company.”

Mr Yawena locked his jaw.

The two went back and forth as Devon, Alexa, and Michelle stepped out of the room.

Alexa nibbled her bottom lip. “Devon, how did he get those pictures of me?” Alexa asked. “Did he come after you?”
