Malafactus

You make your way into the back of the library. It is dimly lit with the racks casting spooky shadows. The books are old. You look at a variety of titles.

A plain black book, bound in crumbling leather catches your attention. You pull it out and open it.

The pages are handwritten and on the first page is written ‘Malafactus’.

You begin to read pages.

“I think I have something, Taylor!”

You flip a few pages and see a chapter on preventing demonic transformation.

Preventing demonic transformation is fairly straightforward. Divine intervention or intervention from a spirit of light can prevent it.

“Shit! Maybe not. I need God or an Angel.”

You continue reading.

The transformation can also be halted by the demon that began it. The demon can be summoned by the afflicted with the following spell. However, such beings are often not very accommodating.

You read the spell. It doesn’t seem terribly complicated.

“Taylor! There might be a way! I can summon the demon who tainted me and get her to take it back.”

“Are you sure that’s a good idea?”

“Not at all…”
