What is that noise?
The skittering of many tiny claws
Your eyes are transfixed on the black expanse of the hallway ahead as this sound gradually increases from barely audible to sounding like it's only a few meters ahead. The clattering sound of dozens of claws against the cold stone of the walls, floor, and ceiling gets closer and closer until the source finally comes into view.
You are suddenly surrounded by dozens of tiny creatures like the one that trapped you here. They all have short, round bodies with stubby, chitinous legs on all sides. What is contained on these bodies, however, is different for each creature. A few look like the first one you encountered, with a single large nozzle in the middle. Many more show the tips of tentacles poking out, ranging from one massive central probe to dozens of tiny feelers wiggling independently. Still others have attachments that look like needles, suction cups, or other strange objects.
You stay frozen as you watch these creatures around you. A small part of you must hope that staying perfectly still will mean they won't see you, though from the way they shuffle and shift as they close in you know you have no chance.
Suddenly, from just out of your peripheral vision on both sides, thick appendage wraps around each of your arms just above the elbow. By the time you even realize what is happening they already have a firm grip on your arms and despite your resistance they raise your arms out to your sides. Another set of appendages then grab your wrists and pull them up as well. Panicked, you look all around you, hoping to somehow find a way out of this situation. Everywhere you look, however, you see these creatures around you, skittering about and seemingly getting into position to torment you.
Your focus is forced back forward as another appendage slithers around your neck and pulls you forward. It is not tight enough to choke you but especially with your arms already restrained it is forceful enough to pull your torso all the way forward.
