Back to business

It feels a bit strange to be headed back to the workshop now, after having been away on an adventure. It reminds you a bit of going back to work after a long vacation, although you definitely dread this far less. It helps that your coworkers in this case are also your lovers, and beautiful to boot. Also, you’ve found that you enjoy this job far more than any you had in your old life.

The girls laugh when you try to explain it to them, especially Hayley. “Gee, I wonder what’s different? Hmm, did you work with a bunch of big breasted women who wanted to hop on your dick before?”

You laugh, shaking your head. “No, definitely not. Mostly overweight middle aged men.”

Sanni winks at you. “Well, I’m certainly glad that you prefer working with us!”

Marin laughs. “I mean, if you’d prefer, I’m sure we could find some chubby old men for you to hang around with…”

You chuckle, still shaking your head. “Definitely not, and you know that’s not what I mean. It feels like this is finally work I actually enjoy.”

Helja, ever the more serious one, simply nods. “You’ve taken to it quite well, that’s for sure. We’ve accomplished a lot since you joined us, even with the occasional distractions around you.”

You jump on the opportunity to get a little tease in yourself. “Aww, you think I’m distracting? I’m flattered, Helja!”

The buxom little blonde blushes, stumbling over her words as she tries to respond. Hayley giggles, nudging her fellow dwarf. “Greg got you good, huh? You’re redder than my hair!”

Helja huffs, crossing her arms and lapsing into silence. You chuckle and lean down to kiss the top of her head. “I’m sorry, I’m just teasing. Your just so cute when you blush!”

Helja blushes even more, but she’s smiling now. Marin laughs, patting you on the shoulder. “That’s our Greg, you always know just what to say!”

The banter continues until you finally reach the workshop, and everyone heads inside. Everyone splits off and gets to work, including yourself. The next project is a redesign of the crystal ballista, and hopefully this time it won’t destroy itself when it’s fired. Apparently, the Forgefather thinks it will be needed sooner than expected, as part of all the events happening. You resolve to find out more, for your curiosity’s sake if nothing else.
