The spooky house

You begin to motion towards the church but the shotgun boy pales and shakes his head. He looks more alarmed than he did during the height of the zombie attack.

Instead, he tugs on your hand and in the direction of the old spooky house. You nod, agreeing and begin to trot with him back in the direction you came.

On the way back the house you notice a change in the behaviour. On the way back the zombies aren't trying to fight or fuck; they're trying to flee.

The young man with the shotgun doesn't appear surprised. Instead he checks his watch, shakes his head and tugs on your hand again - encouraging you to run faster.

As you run you ponder the zombies' actions; fight, fuck or flee. The basic instincts. Even as the naked undead flee before your advance you feel certain that they might turn aggressive at any second.

It takes just a few minutes to get back to the old spooky house. The shotgun boy ignores the front door. He leads you around the back, pushes open a heavy wooden door by the cellar and ducks inside.

It seems too late to go to the church now. You don't want to be outside once the zombies cease their flee behaviour. Carefully you duck down low and follow him into the cellar.

It takes just a little while for your eyes to adjust to the darkness....
