You are walking out of town. Hopefully, this Mage you are following is correct and this will cancel the quest on you. It’s night out. Not a problem for you and Markus has a flicking light at his fingertips.
You see the shimmering boundary that marks the edge of the town and dart ahead to cross it. When you do, you hear a series of chimes.
The Bounty Quest on Xilmomoth the has been resolved.
Milestone reward: survive an encounter with a hero, (10x relative level multiplier)
Level up: 5/999 to 7/999
Wow. That was a lot of XP. And they’ve caught up to you. Maybe you should have run farther? Probably no point to it. Markus pulled a Guild Badge from his pouch and waved it at the sky. He smacked it out of frustration,
“What do you mean, cannot summon, monster nearby!”
He looked at you.
“Oh, there’s the monster”
He smacks his forehead with his palm and steps back across the village boundary.
“Nope, blocked, residential area”
He jumps forward again,

The air above his head swirls indicating his stunned status.

You take his
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
