Rather uneventful

For a few minutes I heard nothing but the sound of running water. I was, of course, tempted to try and peek but there was no mirror nearby and I did not dare to just turn around.

After a while the running water stopped and I heard footsteps on the ground, followed by the sound of clothes shuffeling and annoyed sighs.

"I look ridiculous." Came a exasperated voice from behind me, as my cue to turn around. Azula was right, she did look rather... odd. Of course, nothing really fit her to begin with, and her desire to find the clothes that at least somewhat fitted her size her left her with a rather limited selection. The shirt she had borrowed went down to her thighs and the pants were wrinkled from her pulling them up so she wouldn't step on them. She had apparently also taken a pair of socks, which were equally oversized. Her hair, which fell down in a long curtain behind her was still quite wet and messy, but she had still somehow managed to do her trademark style of two strands framing her face. Her face was really the only thing that still resembled royalty in any way.

That was not to say she wasn't stunningly beautiful. Without the over-the-top kyoshi makeup I could really appreciate her perfectly crafted face framing her amber eyes. But her point still stood.

"You do look ridiculous." I admitted "And the clothes don't really suit you, either."

For a moment Azula looked confused before her face turned to annoyance.

"Oh ha-ha. Very funny. You do remember, that I could easily kill you, right?" She threatened but her voice lacked the severity from before.

"But not with that look." I chuckled. And again a smile flashed over her face for a moment.

"Are you a monk or something? Because you clearly lack attachment to life."

For a few moments we smiled at each other's jokes, before Azula's smile faded into a thoughtful expression. She still looked at me, but seemed to be mentally far away as if remembering something from a long time ago.

"Well, didn't you want to do your paperwork?" She finally asked, and so I went to my study, Azula following close behind me.
