Alice scrambles, you get lucky

The warmth of having a female body pressed against your own was as embarrassing as it was euphoric to say the least. Alice must hear the rising beat of your heart pattering with her head pressed against your chest. That along with her thin leg resting between both of yours, it was only a matter of time before the girl would notice an entirely far more humiliating physical reaction. Thankfully the cogs of Alice's impressive brain circulate before your own. Your classmate snatches her romance novel from your hands and dashes behind a bookshelf to hide her body. Silence follows Alice's escape and at first you think she ran as far away from you as possible, but eventually she speaks up from behind the nearest bookshelf. "Well? Do you have an explanation or not? I've been fairly patient waiting for one but if you take any longer than I'm going to assume you had perverted intentions."

"O-oh, right!" 'Fairly patient' was pushing it considering the bruise on your forehead and the immense pain in your back from being tackled. You'll take the opportunity to clear your name though! "I swear I didn't mean to peep on you. I just lost my pants and couldn't find them anywhere. I-I was panicking and wasn't thinking clearly and accidentally went to your side of the library...so it's still my fault. Sorry."

Another wave of silence passes. At first you think she doesn't believe the unlikely story, but your genuineness eventually passed Alice's personal test. "...Fine. Can't say I know you very well, but if you had bad intentions then you would've peeped on me earlier. I believe you." You let out a sigh of relief. "But...do me a favor and forget that weird reaction I had. It wasn't like me."

You nearly laugh out loud at that, but you're able to hold it back just in time. "Uh...that's the thing you want me to forget?"

"W-well I'd like you to forget everything you saw earlier as well! I'm just not deluded enough to think a teenage boy would be able to do that." That was a fair enough point from the girl. Even now, you had a mental image of Alice's panty clad body crouched from behind that bookshelf...suddenly your face feels even warmer. You just saw a girl half naked...it was only processing just now. You didn't hate the view of course, but seeing someone of the opposite sex in such an exposed state for the first time would be enough to rattle anyone. It definitely didn't help your growing boner problem. "As inclined as I feel to lie, the idea of spending the night here is unnerving. That along with the relentless heat, it's a challenge mentally."

"I-it's fine, you were totally in the right in that instance. The heat's getting to me too. My pants are probably in the most obvious place possible but I can't think straight enough to find it." If Alice was having a mental battle with herself then you'll probably go insane at any moment! You rest your head against the carpet with a groan...and on the ceiling is the one piece of hope you were looking for.

"Alice, on the ceiling! There's a vent! We can get out of here!" You jump up on your feet excitedly, all the stress from moments before vanish from your body at the great news! "W-we're free!"

"What!?" Alice peeks her head out and her eyes grow wide while staring upward. She doesn't have quite the same reaction as you do, but the girl does wear a relieved smile. "Good catch, Sam. Only problem is how we're going to get up there. Neither of us are tall enough to reach it."

Slowly, your shoulders begin to go limp. Great, your only sense of hope deflated just like that.

"It's pitiful to give up so easily, you know." Alice rolls her eyes. At least she's recovered enough from that previous experience to start ridiculing you again. "I do have an idea as to how we can get up there...but I'm personally not a fan of it..."
