Exploring the ciry

You decide to go out to get to know the city better. As you walk the streets, you can see that Ingmery has a diverse population in some ways. Some elves, halfkin and beastkin among humans.

Clear and limpid skies, traditional Vallia architecture leaves the city walls with a homogeneous, inviting and beautiful appearance. Although not perfect, you can see refugees in the streets, some dirt accumulated in some parts of the city streets as well.

As you go into the residential area, you are asked by some beggars, but cannot spend the coins you have now. Soon you arrive at a relevant point. With a plaque out front, you're greeted by the town's blacksmith, at least the most relevant and professional in Ingmery. phoenix forge

When you enter the place, the sight of light and heavy equipment fills your eyes. Long swords, short swords, armor of a few different types, though all still in the usual Vallian style. A couple of people in front of you, being met by the shop owner, a young brunette wearing a simple white dress, who after a couple of minutes, walks up to you.

"New face in town? Welcome! I'm Adalyn, and you..." She extends her hand in a friendly gesture before continuing.

''John.''

''We haven't had many customers since…'' She sighs, looking worried. ''... Problems in town, I don't think I need to go any further.''

''Yes, I know, just... You look around. I'm looking for some equipment, nothing especially expensive. I need to do some things in the forest to the north, so better be prepared.''

She waves, showing you some armor, but the leather set is what catches your eye the most. It's the amount you have in your pocket for now. ''So okay... I think it will look good on you.''

After a few moments, you have your set, and although it's not especially tough, it allows you to maintain your agility. Before you leave the store though, Adalyn asks. ''Wait! Would you be interested in…'' She ponders, touching her chin. ''We have some tasks... But I don't know if you would be interested.'' She offers, you widen your eyes, sensing a good opportunity to make a few coins and no longer depend on Ellaryel.

''Do you have any urgent tasks? I'm listening...'' I am willing to help with anything if you need it. You feel like you're going to make something of this, knowing that Adalyn and Marco are having a number of minor problems maintaining the forge.

''Yeah, we have... Marco! I think you want say something...'' She calls her husband, who quickly comes over from the forge. A man you'd say was 30 years old, plain clothes, a leather apron, hands stained with charcoal and rust. ''Hey, adventurer new to town? They are missed. Hah'' He greets you friendly with a strong handshake. ''I'm Marco. Husband of this beauty...'' He smiles proudly, as Adalyn rolls her eyes, but sums up the entire conversation so far.

''Well, the only problem I think an adventurer can solve is...'' He wonders. ''Honey, haven't we had any more news from the miners?''

She nods in response. ''Nop, they were in trouble bringing the ores from the mine, now... Well, I think it's been a week that they haven't returned anymore.'' He looks at you at this point.

''I know it's a risky request... You're a young man, and I feel bad about asking things like that.'' He scratches his head in a nervous gesture.

''I understand, but could you tell where exactly this mine is? The forest is huge, as far as I know.''

''North, you can follow the clearing, then east, near the lake.'' He sighs at the end, looking at the burning forge. ''I would say we need these supplies, so I'm willing to pay 100 coins.'' He crosses his arms, but Adalyn mentions it.

''Honey, you can't ask a young man to venture into a forest full of wild orcs for 100 coins... I think his life is worth more than that. It is not?'' She approaches her husband, nudging him.

He gives a nervous smile, but it ends. ''Okay, you're right... 150 coins, I can't pay more than that though.''

This is his latest offer, as far as you can see.

''Consider done.'' You simply say, smiling in acceptance of the agreement.

''Excellent! I hope you can do this safely, I wish you luck boy!'' He gives you a friendly gesture as he returns to the forge.

''Heh, good luck with that. Try not to be killed over there, please.'' Adalyn smiles kindly at you before heading back to the counter.

''North, lake, alright...''
