Logging Out

"What the fuck?" you think to yourself as you look around your stats screen. Searching, you look to find a "log out" button anywhere in the screen.

You look through your Stats screen, then your other windows, but you have no success.

Next, you try to envision or visualise or intuit the 'Log Out' window like you had before to get your other windows to appear.

"Log Out", you think. Nothing. "Menu. Start. Controls. Options. Main Menu._" you go through all the options you can think of, but you don't have any success. "Override." you think, too, the phrase that kicks in the VRM auto-log out sequence, but still nothing appears.

Finally, you try something riskier – you put your hand over your head and try to find the grip of the helmet and disconnect yourself entirely from the game. If you can click the latch you can pull the whole apparatus off of you. It's dangerous, but there's been enough stories of people stick in VRMs well past when it was healthy for you to want to stay in the game for too long.

But as you do so... your hand grasps nothing but thin air. "FUCK!" you shout, before lying back in the bed behind you. "Fuck, shit, fuck..."

Between your fumbling and shouting, Liza eventually creeps back into the room. "What's wrong", you hear her say, eyebrows raised again but this time in concern.

You were completely focussed on your current problem, and don't know what to say back. You stutter for a bit before you respond.
