“He’s not going to just answer my questions, he doesn’t think much of me at the best of times, but if he thinks I’m questioning him…” You say.

“No one said this would be easy” She gives you a smile as if to say that’s where the fun comes in.

“Then there’s Carmen, the Chief’s secretary, She knows everything because she manages his calendar” you say.

“Also the fact he spends half his time balls deep inside her” Gonzalez adds.

“That too” you say.

“Finally there’s Clara” Gonzalez says.

“Its not going to be Clara! She’s as sweet as they come” You say

“It doesn’t matter, this is the only raid she wasn’t in and the only raid that’s turned anything up” Gonzalez says.

“She was picking her daughter up from College, it was agreed leave” you say

“I don’t like it anymore than you do, but she’s a suspect even if neither of us want her to be” Gonzalez says. “Now I don’t know how you’re going to get them to talk but its up to you. You’re going to have to be subtle, no one suspects you” Gonzalez says

No one suspects you because they all think you’re a useless desk jockey, is what she means, but is polite enough not to say it.
