Phallus del deus

The gun feels heavy in your palm. Sweaty and shaking you watch through the dusty warehouse shelves.

Your partner Gonzalez, is not doing so well. The small police officer is lying on the floor at the centre of the warehouse, a trio of the White Hand Gang standing above her.

A giant of a man, the gang leader reaches down and lifts her head by the short hair of her pixie cut. Bringing up his gun up, he brushes it down her cheek like a lovers caress before pressing it against her temple.

“Tell us how many people you’re with and who knows you are here”, the bald man gives her a condescending smile. “Tell us and we’ll let you go”

Blood trickles down a gash in her forehead, pain obvious on her face, but Gonzalez just spits on the floor and says nothing.

You know you have to do something. If it had been you on the floor not Gonzalez this wouldn’t be a problem, sure your partner was a couple of years your junior, just out of the academy, but there the 21 year old had come top of her class in marksmanship and most of the other courses. She would have put the three gang members on the ground without a second thought and the two of you would have been queuing up outside the doughnut shop chatting about this right now.

“Gah” you whisper, you are so useless . A master with an excel spreadsheet but sadly the gunmen weren’t asking about V lookups.

Your department, the Antiquites and Rare Objects department (ARO, so everyone calls it ARROW), was not well funded, but even then the rest of the team usually found an excuse to leave you behind on raids. They all considered you a back of house kind of guy. A master of admin, but not someone they wanted to have their backs in a firefight. You were fine with that, in fact as the situation was right now, you'd say it was a fair assessment.

Recently, all of the squad's raids had turned up duds, the team turned up to find an empty warehouse. Any criminal content cleared out before you got there. So earlier when you found a clue, a gap in the import logs, you and Gonzalez had thought it would be safe enough to perform the raid just the two of you.

Now you are hiding and she is bleeding.
