Arthur has a problem.

None of the work clothes in his closet fit. He’d worn the same suit and shirt for two days in a row and he had nothing to replace it, the activities of the previous two days meant that he was not willing to wear it for a third. He sighed gathering the ill fitting suits and dumped them into a bag for the Mothers of Reverence.

He was going to need to go to the mall. He shot a quick text to Danyssa’s phone and asked her to get the two newbies something to do while he was gone. He had a thought. So he sent another text.

Then he made a call.

The phone only rang once before it picked up. “Arthur! Um, hey.” Mata’s voice on the other side. “You left before I could say goodbye.” She pouted. Arthur chuckled. “You sleep like the dead. I’m failing to see how that’s my fault, I actually had to move you off of my chest.” She grumbled on the other side. “Hrm” Arthur continued. “Anyways how would you like to come shopping with me today? Kira said that you were flexible because you work from home.” Mata muted the phone to squeal, doing a excited little happy dance. Kira was still getting ready and cocked an eyebrow at her. Mata unmuted. “Yeah I can do that text me your address and I’ll be over there ASAP.” Arthur grinned. “Thanks Mata. See you soon.” He texted over the address.

Mata jumped off the couch. Kira stopped her. “What was that about?” Mata tried to dart between her legs, Kira blocked her path standing in the hall. Mata turned, acting casual. “Oh don’t worry about it… Arthur just called to take me shopping.” Mata could have knocked Kira over with a feather. Kira spluttered “What!?!” Mata continued, “He said that I was flexible.” She added emphasis and as much euphemism to the statement as she could muster. Kira recovered, scowling and returned to getting ready for work. Mata got dressed in a frenzy. Bolting back through the front room, she paused as she went out the door. Turning, she yelled back “Try not to go green with envy!” Kira’s rage simmered. Oh I’m going to get that grubby little demon. And Arthur! I’m going to fuck his brains out and make her watch….. again. She frowned, that took a little menace out of that particular threat. She sighed, she would get even… eventually.
