She can deal with her feelings afterwards.
Consequences
Arriving back at the facility, Alicia and Mike are all smiles as they walk inside. However, as they step through the door, they’re greeted by a grumpy looking Damon, who sighs as they approach.
“I know it’s not your fault, but you two might have kicked the hornets nest tonight.”
Alicia looks at him in confusion. “What do you mean? We just went out for dinner.”
Mike nods. “We didn’t even do anything unusual, as far as I could tell.”
Damon shakes his head. “Like I said, it’s not your fault. But a bunch of pictures and videos of you two are going around, and it’s got those idiot protesters all wound up.”
Alicia sighs. “Way to put a damper on a wonderful evening, Damon. What exactly do you want us to do about it?”
Damon sighs. “I’m sorry, I’m just worried that one of them will do something crazy. Their reactions are going beyond what’s rational. I heard that even Fiona is getting hate mail, which almost never happens to her.”
Mike nods. “It’s best to play it safe, I guess. I’ll stay out of the public eye for a few days, it’s not like I’m uncomfortable here.”
Alicia smiles at him. “Don’t worry, we’ll pamper you!”
Damon nods. “Probably for the best. I will contact Donna in the morning and get her opinion. I just wanted to inform you.”
Alicia sighs. “Your timing could have been better, but it’s best if we know.”
Mike shrugs. “It sounds like things are as under control as possible. I’m not going to stress about it, I have other things on my mind.”
Alicia giggles, and gives him a sultry look. “I would hope so, because the evening is definitely not over…”
Damon rolls his eyes. “That’s my cue to leave. See you tomorrow.”
He walks off, shaking his head. Alicia looks at Mike, her eyes sparkling. She winks, and takes his hand.
