Goma eagerly drags Yulia deeper into the caves, Cherchiel, Muma and a small detachment of Goblin's follow. As they travel through the winding tunnels, Yulia has time to address the voices.

"I did. When we handed over the Elf though they asked for his weapon as well and I gave it, I figured it might be a problem and I wasn't too concerned about keeping the bow. I'm sure once we get the metal, our blacksmith friend can make us all kinds of better weapons," Cherchiel answers.

Surprisingly Goma speaks up to answer the voices as well, "Beast? Beast no Drider... Driders live deeper in caves. Far far below Goma. Goblins trade Driders and Dark Ears sometimes. Rare stuff from deep," Goma explains.

At this point they reach the end of the tunnel and emerge into a large cavern. Bunk beds made of wood and cured leather are formed in multiple rows in the room, enough for at least a hundred goblins to sleep in this area. There's another tunnel leading further into the caves, and aside from the bunk beds, there's two distinct areas, a small section with wooden tables set up and all sorts of glass vials and beakers as well as a kiln and a bunch of other equipment seemingly used for alchemy and crafting. The other area is an area immersed in shadows, there are goblins arrayed at random around the room, some sleeping, some working at various things, but no goblins seem to go near the shadowy area. There is also a lantern hanging on a wall near a small tunnel and Muma quietly points to it, "Look a lantern! That's probably where we'll find metal!" she whispers excitedly.

"Welcome, Birdy and friends! This Goma home!" Goma announces before leading directly to one of the bunk beds, "this Goma bed, sleep above Gia, Gia best friend," she says, Gia, whoever they are, does not seem to be here right now, Goma then hurries them over to the area with the tables, "this Goma work. Make stuff for Goblins, fight intruders and nasty Ears," she says proudly before pointing to the tunnel leading further into the caves, "that way is Queen! Wise Queen, Great Queen! Birdy meet Queen?" she asks.

"Soon probably," Yulia answers as she looks around the place and then whispers to Goma," the shadowy place... that's where you sacrifice people to the things in the dark right?" she asks and Goma looks nervous and then slowly nods.

"Dark man protects us. Lumberer hurt Goblins..." she says and seems to hesitate, remembering some painful memory before continuing, "dark man keep Lumberer away. Only ask sacrifices... Doesn't hurt or kill just..." she hesitates and then looks away, "is better than ****... Goma gladly give body to protect friends..." she says in a weak voice.

Yulia's voice is stiff when she responds, "I'm going to deal with... the dark man, don't worry Goma. You won't have to worry about him, the Beast or Lumberer anymore when I'm done here," she says, her voice determined. Goma looks up at her, surprised at her words and then hugs, Yulia tightly.

"Birdy already save Goma once, Goma don't want Birdy hurt," she says and Yulia hesitates and then hugs Goma back.

"Don't worry I'll be fine. At the very least, I know the thing in the dark won't hurt me," she says and then changing the subject, "Goma... that tunnel over there," she says and points to the lantern tunnel, "can you tell me what's down there?" she asks and Goma sniffles then nods.

"Yeah! Special Lumpy rocks for Chosen. Gia spend all day dig up lumpy rocks, pretty lady tell her to," she answers.

"Pretty lady?" Yulia asks and Goma hesitates and then points back the way they came.

"Pretty lady down other tunnel.
