Watched

The food is, as expected, wonderful. Mike spends as much time talking as he does eating, with Alicia doing much the same. As they finish their meal, however, they both become aware of how much busier the restaurant is now. Mike glances around, noticing the attention they seem to be receiving. Alicia smiles at him.

“You noticed our audience, I see.”

Mike chuckles. “I did. Quite a crowd, and not exactly subtle.”

Several of the people are clearly not there for the food, and some are obviously taking pictures of the two of them together. Alicia doesn’t seem concerned about that, so Mike shrugs it off. He understands what she meant about feeling like a celebrity now, though.

Alicia nods, laughing. “I imagine that we’re going to be the big gossip for a while.”

Mike smiles. “I’m ok with that. I’m getting used to it, honestly.”

He winks at her. “If I wanted to get some real attention, we could just start making out right here.”

Alicia giggles and blushes, shaking her head. “No way! You’ll need to wait for your date with Kyrie for that!”

Mike laughs. “I’m teasing, Alicia. But wait, what date with Kyrie?”

Alicia grins. “Don’t worry about it! Now, let’s get out of here before there’s too many gawkers, hmm?”

Mike chuckles and shakes his head. “Did you think of somewhere to go next?”

Alicia nods. “Of course! I know just the place.”

After calling over the waitress and paying for the food, the two of them head out of the restaurant, and are followed quite obviously by the gossip reporters. Mike grins as he gets an idea.

“Alicia, one second…”

She looks at him curiously, then squeaks in surprise as he pulls her close and kisses her. He can practically feel the cameras on them, as Alicia melts against him for a moment, before realizing where she is. She breaks the kiss, and playfully smacks his arm, but her wide smile shows her true feelings.

“Mike! You’re the worst!”

He laughs. “I am. Your fault for getting attached to me!”

She laughs, and pulls his arm around her waist as they walk towards the car. Leaning her head against his shoulder, she smiles.
