Billy Connors.

"I will!" called out Billy Connors taking a step forward.

Beth broke down and started crying. Lisa looked on in shock. The Black Lynchers started laughing. John Delvers looked on in interest.

"You got a gun?" John asked Billy.

Billy pulled up his shirt to reveal a colt tucked into his pants. Lisa, expecting to see the same rusty revolver that he had had the first time they met, was surprised to see the colt in his pants.

"Ok. Take a seat." John told Billy. "Anyone else?"

"Please help him." Beth begged Lisa thru her tears.

"Me." Lisa called out stepping forward.

John Delvers gave Lisa a quick look over. Seeing the colt on her hip and the deputy badge John gave a slight nod of his head.

"Take a seat." John told her. "Anyone else?"

Lisa sat opposite Billy. As she sat down she saw Silas Burns having a word with bald spectacled man. She then turned her attention back to Billy.

"Where did you get the colt?" Lisa asked.

"I found it." Billy explained "Under your bed, when Beth and me cleared out your hotel room."

"What the hell are you doing?" Lisa demanded.

"We need the money." Billy told Lisa. "And if I lose I get to kill Pa's killer."

Lisa was left speachless by Billy's reasoning.

"Is no one else brave enough?" called out John Delvers. "This woman and kid put you all to shame."

John Delvers then turned to his men.

"Ok, pick 'em." he commanded.

Soon a total of 16 players were seated at the 4 tables. They were joined by a dealer at each table. The dealers dealt 5 cards to each player.

As the cards were dealt Lisa looked around. The Lynchers were positioned so they could cover all the players. The balcony guards were also able to see all the players. John Delvers stood between the 4 card tables turning slowly to watch all the players. Beth was at the front of the crowd crying openly.

Lisa picked up and examined her cards. She had both red queens, 9 and 5 of diamonds and 2 of clubs. Lisa needed to decide whether to go for the pot, or play to keep Billy from losing.
