Alecia always managed to hide her disdain for her mother. Ever since her sister was born, it was like she ceased to exist. It was always, Anna this, and Anna that.

Now that she was deeply steeped in demonic magic, she could get whatever she desired. The only problem was she wasn’t sure what she wanted.

She made her way to her mother’s office. Sitting in an ornate mahogany desk was Angelica Sephoria. Despite being nearly fifty, she looked good. Her hair was blond, her eyes were a vibrant aqua. She was thin and fit. As a mother she may have demanded perfection, but she always led by example.

“Hello mother.”

Her mother looked up. Her voice failed to hide the disappointment that it was her and not Anna.

“Oh, it’s you. How are you doing Alecia?”

Alecia seethed. She wasn’t entirely sure if it was from all the demonic energy she had absorbed or if it was just years of pent up rage bubbling to the surface.

She imagined tearing her mother limb from limb, watching her blood spray into the air. She knew with her host she was now strong enough to do just that.

“Can’t I just come up and say ‘hi’?”

“Whatever for dear? We have so little in common. You spend all your time with your old things.”

“They’re antiques, mother. Precious treasures from the past.”

“Just another word for old junk, Alecia. You have no interest in me or the family business.”

Alecia was stunned. The part of her that raged wanted to cast the spell her host cast on her. With that she could wear her mother’s skin and take over her life. Of course even her host didn’t know if a sentient skin like her could wear another skin on top.

She scowled. She also could begin to seduce her and get her to become a host. From there she could turn Angelica into her little minion.

Of course she could simply take an interest in the family business and try to build some healthy ties…
