A Treasure Room

For awhile nothing much happens while you continue through the house, aside from the occasional disturbing noise from somewhere else in the house. You're relieved for the break but it's also unnerving - you keep expecting some new monstrosity to jump out at you. But nothing ever does and so you press on, hoping you'll be able to get back to Keith's office and find out what the hell is happening in the house. Eventually you come to a gaudy, golden door. It has a noticeable keyhole but it's also slightly ajar. Your friends look unsure until you hear a shriek from somewhere nearby and you shove the door open, your friends following behind.

The room appears to be some kind of large treasure room, with vaults built into some of the walls and chests and boxes scattered throughout. Some are large and richly decorated, others seem to be more plain and unimportant. A large chest on the far side of the room seems to have been opened, probably by whoever left the door ajar. You want to go look in the chest, to see if you can find out what was inside, but Allegra grabs your arm before you can go further in.

"Morgan I really don't like this room."

"It's a treasure room Allegra, there's probably something good in here."

"Or there could be traps!"

"Or there could be something to help us defend ourselves! Do you have any idea how lucky we are that we didn't get grabbed back in the yard?" Allegra holds her hand to her head and sighs.

"Fine just...be careful okay?" You turn back to the treasure room with a small smile, eager to see what you can find.
