Freeing the Captain

I persuaded Medina & Radicek that it was safest for the Captain if we went in carefully through the front door. Nevertheless, both went in flanking me, guns drawn, looking for danger. I watched as alertly as either of them though, and although unsurprized by what we found, I was still shocked.

Of course the captain was still naked and bound. However, she was on tip-toes on a kitchen chair at the end of a noose that was thrown over one of the rafters of the cabin. Her mouth was stuffed with what might have been her underwear. Beside her standing with an insane grin on his face, flecks of spittal on his week-old beard was Grimes, also with gun drawn and pointed at his own head. His foot rested on the captain's chair and one nudge would have sent her swinging. The captain carefully adjusted her balance in an attempt to stay upright and alive, only a few toes being in contact with the chair.

"You got here quicker than I expected!" said Grimes. "I was going to set this one up to set another gangster free", He gestured behind him where a blonde girl in PVC sat writhing with her arms locked behind her.

"You were going to have to whip Radicek's ass to shreds to get this one!" He grinned at his former partner.

"You bastard!" spat the tall blonde Police officer.

"but... it looks like we're at the end game already, so the Captain and I are going to have to say goodbye!" he turned to face the black woman above him in the noose and prepared to kick the chair away.

"Wait, please!" I shouted, and his foot came down.

He turned to look at me suspiciously. "Huh? Why?" but he had already stopped and I knew the threat was over because I had asked him to stop, nicely. The girls knew it too and rushed him immediately. His former partner disarmed him and slapped the cuffs on him while Medina and I helped the Captain down.

"I'll come quietly. Don't worry!" said Grimes, triumphantly expecting due process to be followed and to be led away while we saw to the victim's needs, content that he had exacted his **** on Radicek and believing that the scales were now even.

The captain, exhausted and tired as she was had other ideas as she straightened herself out, coming down from the chair after I cut the ropes. She raised herself to her full height and looked murderously at Grimes then let fly a vicious jab to his face (breaking his nose in three places as we later found out), then mumbled "resisting arrest" to us as we led her away to the car, followed by Medina and the blonde, still locked in position.

With 6 of us, we didn't have room for everyone in the car. The cops, Radicek and Medina sat in the front and I got in the back between the 2 victims, but only after telling Grimes. "Get in the trunk please", and watching his dismay as the lid was closed on him once more. Perhaps we should leave him a day or two before we book him this time I considered.
