Chapter 8
by
Hub Tai Void
The elevator opens...
To a "mostly" empty lobby...
The girls almost reflexively shouted when the elevator doors opened, but both were glad to keep their silence. After all, the lobby was basically empty. The only inhabitants were robots, and one of those was already leaving into a special tunnel only it could fit in. Samantha swallowed away her fear, and took a step forward. Realizing her sister was acting more brave than her, Tiffany hurried after.
The robot acting as receptionist sat behind a rather large desk, and it looked as if the door to get into the area was locked electronically. Samantha felt a bit nervous, as she wasn't sure if the robot would react oddly to their situation, but it was something they had to do. Samantha approached the desk. "Um, hello..."
The robot turned to her and gave a welcome. "Welcome to our Premiere Resort lobby. Would you appreciate assistance today?"
Samantha was thrown off by the awkward greeting, but figured it was worth pushing through on. "We would...I need to access the account for Tiffany Smith." The robot asked for an identification card or access to a QR code to confirm their identity, but Samantha stated she had none. She DID have her phone...but without power, it was useless.
"Without proper identification, you must use our fingerprint scanner. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the scanner at this location is not operational." Tiffany mentally sighed in relief. For once, this wasn't her scheming backfiring on her, that was just the hotel being inefficient. That said, that was surprising, since these companies were prideful on having working tech, so for something like a fingerprint scanner to be broken was strange.
"Okay," Samantha said, "So...when are you going to replace it?"
The robot shook its head. "Negative, we are waiting for a repairman to repair it. He has been delayed for some time though." That, however, was Tiffany's scheming. She couldn't resist facepalming herself, remembering she had found his number and called him the night before; Tiffany's logic had been that, if she was delayed leaving the airport for some reason, he'd be able to keep an eye on Samantha. She was planning to text him and cancel when she got to the hotel...but since she got to the hotel without her phone, the guy was probably still waiting somewhere...
"Well...then can you just help us remove this collar? That's the main thing we want." She motioned to her sister, sitting like a pet to her side. The robot raised itself up to look down upon Tiffany.
The robot was pretty generic looking, as far as robot designs were concerned, yet it managed to give some intimidation to Tiffany (though she'd never admit it). Samantha, despite not being the target of the robot's lifeless gaze, also felt intimidation, though she tried to push it aside for the sake of being strong for Tiffany.
The robot finally lowered itself. "Unable to comply, all pets must wear collars, unless carried in a secure fashion by the owner."
The girls looked at each other. "Yeah, we're not doing that."
"Then the collar must remain on your pet."
Samantha pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. She was running out of ideas. "Can I make her...not a pet?"
The robot suddenly became stiff...or more stiff than normal. "That...does not...compute. Pets are pets."
'I'm not a pet,' Tiffany thought to herself. Samantha tried valiantly to argue that point for Tiffany, but the robot was stuck on the same point. A pet is a pet, and thanks to Tiffany's hacking, one of them was stuck as it. 'And of course it had to be me...if only I wasn't so nice...and ****.' As much as Tiffany didn't want to admit that fact, she realized that her desperation to make Samantha a pet did screw her over. 'Temporarily,' she reminded herself. 'This is temporary, my scheme will pull through...eventually.'
Samantha had stopped talking for a few seconds now, after spending several of them trying to get Tiffany's attention. Tiffany seemed to not notice Samantha staring at her, and in turn Samantha could only imagine what Tiffany was thinking. 'She must be so consumed with this naked petgirl business that she can't even hear me saying her name.' The alternative, that Tiffany wanted to be in this situation, just wasn't an option Samantha could seriously believe. 'Nobody wants to be a naked pet...right?'
This deep consideration was interrupted as Tiffany pulled on the leg of her jeans. 'I better break up whatever she's thinking of, or risking ruining my chance to get her into being a naked pet.'
"What is it, Tiffany? Do you have an idea?"
Tiffany nodded and made typing motions on the floor. At first Samantha didn't really understand, 'Does she just want to communicate?' But then the idea sprung to her, and Samantha turned to the robot. "Can we borrow a computer?" Tiffany nodded excitedly, her body's parts bouncing slightly, and causing Samantha's eyes to bounce with them. Samantha had to rub her eyes free of the trance they fell under.
"One moment." The robot turned away and rolled off.
Samantha leaned down, careful to stay focused on Tiffany's eyes and not the lower orbs. "I completely forgot, you're an expert with computers! You can try to hack into their program...though I'm not sure if you've ever tried this sort of thing, I hope I didn't assume too much."
Tiffany shook her head, hoping Samantha wouldn't question that line of thought further. The robot returned, and had a laptop! 'Yes! Finally!' Samantha gleefully took it and handed it to Tiffany, who attempted to turn on the computer...and nothing happened.
Samantha faced the robot. "Uh...you did charge it, right?"
"Negative." The girls nearly face faulted at that reveal. "Our computers must be charged by patrons, and it seems the prior guests did not charge it." Samantha tried to ask to get a replacement computer, or battery, or even the charging cable, but the robot denied them at every turn.
Samantha fell to the ground, defeated. "Now what? What other way can we access the account?"
"There is another way. We do have another fingerprint scanner." Samantha shot up, and was about to shout at the robot for not saying something sooner, but the robot had more bad news to give. "Unfortunately, this second scanner is in the clubhouse on the other side of the resort. If you would like to walk there, I can provide a map for easy and direct travel."
This wasn't ideal, but it was the best option, so Samantha confirmed the desire. It was only after the robot left that Samantha realized what she was asking of Tiffany. "Um...maybe this is a bad idea...you're going to have to go across this entire compound...naked. Maybe we should think of another option." Tiffany shook her head. "But...are you sure? I don't know, I don't think I could be that brave." Tiffany flashed a thumbs up, which did help reassure Samantha, though she couldn't imagine how Tiffany was so confident.
'It's okay, I'm okay, it's fine, the plan is fine, we'll have our naked petgirl, we'll have our naked petgirl, we'll have our naked petgirl, we'll-'
Tiffany's thoughts were interrupted as the robot spoke up again. "Enjoy our lovely locales as you follow this very direct directions!" The robot presented the map, and indeed there was an easy path to travel...but it wandered all over the area, making sure you'd spend more time seeing the sights...and buying souvenirs, than getting somewhere promptly.
"Is this really the most efficient path to this second location?" The robot confirmed so, but both girls doubted the robot regardless. "Well...I'm sorry sis, but I think we have ****." Tiffany did her best to hold back a grimace, nodding instead. The only hope now was finding a shortcut and ending this journey sooner.
It was a tough walk to the doors of the lobby, leading to the outside world. Tiffany did good to hide it, but she knew both girls were feeling it. With one last intake of breath, Samantha opened the door, and Tiffany took that as the cue to leave. The sunlight was starting to fade now, thanks to the time they took to land and have the adventure in the lobby. Luckily, no one was around, not even the noise of people, so this was a chance for both girls to reflect on what would come next.
For Samantha, she was testing herself on being the brave and protective sister, all the while trying to understand this whole petgirl thing.
For Tiffany, she was testing herself on showcasing the joys of being a petgirl, and convincing herself to love it, just so she could get Samantha to love it. 'And get out of being a pet,' she reminded herself. 'Not that I'm a pet now, just...uh, just...'
Samantha broke her chain of thought, which Tiffany was grateful for. "Tiffany, I was thinking...it might not be ideal, but maybe we can find some bushes and use them as a sort of clothing. It would be really uncomfortable, but at least it's cover."
Tiffany immediately declined it. Not only was the tree branch scratches an unappealing idea, she didn't like the idea of being slowed for the sake of modesty. 'After all, as awkward as this is, it's just nudity, it's not that embarrassing.' Or at least, that's the thought Tiffany **** her mind to repeat. 'As soon as I'm out of this, this is a lesson I need to drill into Samantha.'
The walk was surprisingly uneventful, with no sign of people or even the noise to be associated with it. The late hour attributed to this, but this was also helped by the fact that the girls were taking the less convenient path. That said, Samantha started to realize that, while she was doing well, Tiffany had been crawling on her hands and feet for quite a while. Samantha wasn't going to say anything to break the silence, but she noted that Tiffany didn't seem phased at all by the excursion.
"I don't know how you can handle it, sis. MY knees would be killing me right now."
Tiffany shrugged. 'I guess I just have stronger knees.' This did surprise Tiffany a bit too, since she hadn't really thought about it before, but she was never bothered by crawling around. She didn't really consider that as a factor for Samantha to being her pet. 'But I guess I'll have to get her used to it too, because only some of my plans allow her to be upright.'
Samantha saw Tiffany smirking, and took that as Tiffany's confidence shining through once again. "Honestly, I'm kind of envious. Not just at your hardy knees...or your amazing body...but at how strong a will you have. I wish I could do something like this with such confidence." Samantha hated feeling inadequate compared to her sister, but she had to figure she was wrong to feel that way. 'Tiffany wouldn't want me having such doubts.'
Tiffany practically exploded right there, and she wasn't even horny. This was exactly what she wanted to hear. 'There's still hope!' If only she could stand up, she'd jump for joy.
Instead, Tiffany just marched on, any concern about her state of dress or state of self had faded away. Seeing such confidence gave Samantha inspiration, and she followed along, not really sure what to say. All she knew was to follow her sister down whatever path they went on.
That next path, as it turned out, was a branching one.
"Huh, Tiffany, is it me, or does this seem like a path?" Tiffany did notice what seemed like a dirt path, which seemed safe enough, though not nearly as well traveled. Samantha pulled out the map and looked it over to confirm. "It's not listed on the map, but it does seem like an established path, albeit not officially so. We can take it and you'd be protected from sight by all the trees. Admittedly, it would be hard on your knees, crawling on the dirt and rocks, but I think the alternative is going to be way worse."
Samantha leaned down and presented the map to Tiffany. Tiffany gave it a look, while Samantha resisted looking toward the hanging melons her sister was openly presenting. Samantha wondered what was with her, and came to the conclusion the **** was still in her system. She just had to hope Tiffany wasn't noticing all the quick looks Samantha was giving.
Tiffany, too focused to notice, kept her gaze on the map. It seemed to indicate something called Souvenir Alley was upcoming, and the name immediately brought to mind shopkeepers and customers galore. There was no staying hidden, and though Tiffany considered herself unflappable, this was causing her some flap.
"Not to mention, if we take this, it's a shortcut." And again, it was easy to see that going through this forested path would lead straight to the clubhouse containing the second fingerprint scanner.
Tiffany considered the options. If they followed the main path, they'd take longer, she'd be seen by dozens of people, and it would result in depending on Samantha to both explain things...and protect her if something terrible should happen. On the other hand, if they took this newly discovered path, it would cause Tiffany discomfort, but they'd be done with this ordeal quicker, and she'd be able to move on to a new phase in her planning. And Samantha was letting her make the decision, so she had to make sure the decision was the right one for her.
Tiffany decided, and raised her finger to point where to go.
She points to...
