Comfortable

When morning comes around, you awaken in your cabin, feeling quite comfortable. Most likely because you have Alex snuggled against one side of you, hugging your arm, and Ferra on the other, resting her head on your chest. All three of you are naked, of course. Alex is still asleep, a smile on her face, and although Ferra doesn’t need sleep, she thoroughly enjoys cuddling with you while you are.

Seemingly sensing that you’re awake, the golem girl lifts her head to look at you. The two of you look at each other for a moment, and she gently kisses you. “Good morning, Nicholas. You look well rested.”

You chuckle, causing Alex to stir. Ferra looks at her and nods. “She seems tired. Perhaps she should rest today.”

Alex clings to your arm harder, and murmurs sleepily. “You two should stay here too…”

You smile, gently patting the efreet’s head with your free hand. “I’d enjoy that, but I imagine there’s lots to do. You relax, Alex.”

She makes a grumbling noise, but releases your arm, seemingly going back to sleep. You and Ferra climb out of bed, and you get dressed. Ferra forms her usual outfit, and smiles at you. “I like her. She is a good addition.”

You laugh quietly, trying not to wake Alex again. “I’m glad to have your approval, Ferra. It’s important to me. You don’t mind sharing me with her?”

She shakes her head. “I have similar instincts in this to other monster girls. As long as you do not neglect me, I am happy. Besides, Alex is…fun.”

You nod. “We’ve only just met her, but I agree. Say, what do you know about this whole bondmate thing?”

Ferra cocks her head. “It is a unique concept to efreet. As far as I understand, it’s a magical contract, binding an efreet to an individual. It is not something undertaken lightly. Because of this, she will be as loyal to you as I am, although efreet are known to be…opinionated.”

You smile. “I’ll keep that in mind. I won’t abuse this bond, though. I want her to be happy. I learned that much from my family.”

Ferra’s nods. “I’m glad to hear that, although I cannot picture you being abusive.”

You take her hand. “Good, because I don’t want to be. Now, let’s go see what we missed, hmm?”
