It's closer than Mina would like.

Three weeks later, Mina walked into the dealership in a pencil skirt, blouse and high heels, and sat at her desk to pour over the latest sales numbers. She sighed. She had been putting up great numbers, good enough to secure victory in a normal month, but this was not a normal month. Brett was working like a man possessed, matching her sale for sale up to this point. Given what she had wagered, defeat was not an option, and she would need every sale she could get to slam the door shut.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Brett approaching her desk with some documents and a shopping bag. "Tight race so far, hey Alvarez?"

"For now " Mina replied.

"So, I went ahead and took the liberty of putting together your slavery contract. We wouldn't want you to back out of your wager, so I added a clause that says it only comes into effect if I become sales manager. I'd like you to sign it now." He passed the documents to Mina, who read them over carefully. Sure enough, it would only take effect if she lost, and she could leave any time if she left sales altogether. Not wanting to go back on her word, Mina signed the contract.

"Awesome, last thing, I picked out a collar for you." He pulled a bright pink latex collar out of the bag. It was hideous. "Just wanted you to see your new outfit. Can't wait to see you try it on," he said with a wink. "Oh, by the way, I made a sale before you got here. Better get after it."

Mina cursed under her breath. She needed a sale, and fast. Fortunately, the universe was listening to her pleas this morning as a potential buyer walked into the showroom. He was a middle-aged man, of average build, and looked a little awkward, like he was uncomfortable in his own skin. Mina walked up to greet him. The two spoke for a while, as she asked what he needed in a vehicle. Eventually, she drew his attention to a white coupe, but he seened a little unsure.

"Why don't we take a test drive, so you can see how it handles?"

The man agreed.
