Chapter 7 by Bookmite Bookmite

Time for....

Some light conversation

"...And I told him, "No, I know how tall I am but I'm pretty sure I'm not a child! And he made me pull out my ID and everything. But like, look at this!" She gestured to her perfectly curved body. "Like, imagine seeing this and thinking "Hmm...I think she needs a foot or two to be allowed into a club!" I was about to climb up there and slap some sense into him!" She smacked the table for emphasis and you couldn't resist laughing if you wanted to!

"Oh my god! I can just imagine you doing it, too!"

The two of you were a few drinks in and from what you could tell in you **** state, it was going great! Over some delicious pork dumplings and street corn fritters, Jiz'ne told you about how she came here from Te'Gena, the Kobolds home planet, though she had little memory of it due to having left her planet when she was only 4 years old. Her family had moved into a nearby planet a few months back so her brother and sister could be closer to their school of choice. The town she had been living in was much more rural before so it took some getting used to the high energy of city life. When she was offered the chance to come to the station, she jumped at the chance, though life here was even more high energy.

"I know, I must sound like such a hick. But I still can't get over how on any given day there'll be like an art fair or a concert or something totally unexpected! I love it! And I meet someone new every day. I've never seen so many different species. We were just about the only Kobold family back home so it's nice not always having to look up when I'm talking to someone. Not to mention that there are actually clothing stores that cater to the short but curvy gal."

Her enthusiasm was infectious. Where you would see the constant inconvenience of noise and traffic, she saw endless opportunity.

"Haha, well I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. Honestly, it's a bit much for me here, but coming from a small town where everyone knows me I have to admit it is kind of... Freeing to be somewhere where I'm essentially anonymous. Not to mention, if I had never moved here I would have never met you." You say, placing your hand on hers. Your hand dwarfed hers. She was so soft and warm.

"Aww, that's sweet but you don't even know me." She ran her thumb along yours.

True, but would you like to?
