A minor snag

When the amazement finally wore off a bit, the duo once again stepped forward, only to have their ears perked up by what had become an all too familiar sound.

*SHRRRRIIIIIP*

They turned around, discovering that the long flowing skirt that Nora had been wearing now had a large chunk ripped out of it and stuck between the door. Immediately, Molly began to panic and go into damage control.

“D-don’t worry Nora. We can fix this.” Molly said. She hugged herself tightly against Nora’s back, trying to block sight of the tear in her skirt.

“Molly.” Nora said.

“We’ll just get to the bathroom, and tie it up a little higher on your waist to close the gap.” Molly continued, not hearing Nora.

“Molly.” Nora again said.

“H-here, you can b-borrow my p-pants.” Molly stuttered out, putting her hands in her own waistband.

“Molly!” Nora finally shouted, getting Molly to snap out of her panic. “It’s ok.”

Nora slowly lifted her skirt up, making Molly blush as she half expected to see Nora flashing her panties. What she saw instead, was a loose fitting pair of shorts that went to Nora’s knees.

“With how things have been going lately,” Nora said, blushing at the memories she referred too, “I figured I should be more prepared.”

That was only half true. The main reason for the shorts was that Nora was dedicated to making sure nothing bad happened to ruin her confession. She had these shorts, as well as an extra shirt and bra packed into her bag.

“Oh.” Molly said, surprised but relieved at Nora’s proactiveness. “Well, um, shall we continue?”

Nora nodded, her confidence again renewed by the success of her planning. She made a side tie on her skirt so that the large tear it now had didn’t look so out of place, and the two made their way once again towards the World of Tomorrow hall.
