You need to get out of there!

"You must be mistaken," you manage to blurt out at her. "I HAVE SOMEWHERE TO BE, BYE!" You leave her no time to react, turning to run in a random direction away from her.

You bolt out into the middle of the street, dodging past several people about to cross paths with you, hoping to get out of sight of the woman as soon as possible. You duck between the many legs of one extremely tall creature and under the wings of another floating lazily down the thoroughfare. You hold your arms close across your bust in embarrassment, not caring that everyone around you isn't actually paying you any mind.

When you get to the other side of the street you peek back at her. To your dismay she is still in exactly the same spot, staring at you with her hands on her hips. Panicking again, you look up and down this side for the closest building to duck into. The next building down is just ahead, a towering structure of metal and glass taller than anything you've seen constructed in your own world. You rush past pane after wide pane of glass, wondering where the entrance could be along this flat, transparent wall.

You make your way past half the building and start to panic slightly, realizing you have no idea where you're going. Before your apprehension completely freezes you, however, a pane just a few feet away from you slides open, and a large slug-like creature slithers through the opening. Seeing your chance, you sneak into the opening before it shuts. Once inside, you slip to the side of the entryway and take in the sight around you.

Before you is a bustling main lobby. To your left are many couches and tables, most filled with creatures conducing business, as varied in size and type as you'd seen outside. The room is abuzz with the many conversations going on simultaneously. A long, purple carpet runs the length of the room from the entranceway you just passed through to the start of a long hallway on the other end. Peering down the hall, you find it just as busy as the room you're in if not moreso. A constant stream of activity flows between side hallways and a myriad of doors as far as you can see. A few meters to the right of the carpet, along most of the right wall, is a row of desks, each with someone sitting behind it. Most of the desks have someone standing in front conversing with the attendant. They must be some sort of welcome desks, you presume.

Many options seem open to you now, and there doesn't seem to be anything directly blocking you from going wherever you'd like.
