List item nr 8: Dance

You remain at your table after having finished your desserts trying to digest your food a little. You stare out of the window looking at the couples dancing slowly on the deck. One hand on the table lovingly covered by Alex's, the other resting on your full belly. Your smile broadens a little as you feel the small movements of your baby boy. Having been provided with food have given him the energy to play and he appears to be trying to make somersaults inside your belly. Any discomfort you feel is overshadowed however by the maternal love you feel towards the life growing inside you and the happiness of him behaving healthy.

Finally, as the last rays of light is about to disappear behind the horizon Alex stands up and gets in front of you. "Do you want to dance?" He asks offering you his hand.

"Only if it's with you." You respond as you take it.

You both walk out on the dance floor. His right-hand envelopes yours as he pulls you into him. As his left grabs your hips yours on his shoulder. He takes the lead, and you are happy to follow as the two of you move to the rhythm of the music. You haven't really danced since your wedding but you quickly find your way back to it.

The two of you lose yourself in the rhythm, despite being surrounded by people only the two of you appear to exist. You can only stare into his beautiful blue eyes, unable to look away. Despite your pregnant belly he manages to press his body so amazingly against yours. You feel so wonderfully happy just sharing this moment with this wonderful man. Your wonderful man.

Finally, the band stops playing thanking the last dancers for partaking this evening. You and Alex joins the others in the applause thanking the band for the music. "We should do this more often." Alex comments. You kiss him in response.
