What's your next class?

Intro To Elemental Affinity

'Erogenous zones are areas of the human body that, when stimulated, can generate relaxation, a sense of well-being, or even sexual arousal. There are fourteen parts of the human body that are most commonly associated with being erogenous, the genitals being the most obvious. However, other erogenous zones include the scalp, the palms of the hands, the soles of the feet, and the ears... typically areas that contain a high concentration of nerve endings. Furthermore, erogenous zones are not limited to any particular area of the body. With the right type of stimuli and the right amount of stimulation, anywhere on the human body can potentially be erogenous.

However, each individual is different and will respond to stimulation differently.’ “Alright class, we are about out of time.”, Dr. Kinders announces after finishing her lecture. “Your assignment is to explore yourselves to see how you react to some of the forms of stimulation listed in the book. If you prefer, you may partner up with one or more of your classmates to experiment. This may actually bring you better results, as outside stimulation is generally more effective than doing it yourself. Once you have done a little exploring, I want you all to write a paper on your thoughts of how this may be applied in a medical setting. This is going to be due at the next class. You are all now dismissed.”

"Sounds like a fun assignment...", Aeriel chirps. "I wish you could experiment with me..."

"Well...", you begin. "I did promise to try out some of those hand signs during free period today... Maybe I can explore with you then..."

"You better...!", Aeriel admonishes, wrapping her arms around your neck affectionately. "I think this class will be interesting... Even though today was kind of boring..."

"Hey.", a sweet voice breaks your inner dialogue. It's Parisa.

You turn and she is regarding you with her lovely eyes.

"Hey.", you return.

"Um... Mana, Selena and I were planning on doing the assignment together back at Pegasus house. You can join us if you want.", Parisa offers. While she seems mostly quiet and reserved, she actually has an air of confidence about her.

"Hell yeah cutie!", Selena chimes in. "You can explore each of our erogenous zones...", she adds with a grin and a wink.

"And each of us can explore yours...", Mana finishes.

Your face instantly turns crimson at the offer of the three incredibly sexy girls offering to let you explore their bodies and they yours.

"I think that is a wonderful idea. You may find that men and women respond differently to stimulation... or maybe not...", Dr. Kinders joins in, smiling widely.

You look at the professor quizzically. Noticing your look, she simply continues smiling and says,

"No need to worry, you are permitted to enter another house if invited. Curfew must obviously be observed, but inter-house relations are highly encouraged, especially where school work is concerned. Unfortunately ladies, I am afraid the young man may not be available today. Perhaps you can set something up for tomorrow. Young man,", she turns to you. "May I speak with you briefly before your next class?".

"Of course.", you reply.

Exchanging farewells with your three classmates, and promising to find them at lunch later to set up a study date, you follow Dr. Kinders to her desk.

"Don't worry dear...", she begins. "You are not in any trouble. I actually have a favor to ask of you."

You regard Dr. Kinders with a curious look. "Sure, what can I do for you?"

"Well, I'm sure you have noticed that you are the only male in my class. Generally, medical classes like this are predominantly female, as most students in this field are Pegasus house, which typically averages five women for every one man."

"Ok", you nod. "I did notice that, but didn't know the ratio was so skewed."

"Yes, well, I usually have a male assistant to... help with certain aspects of our study here. Since all of the Pegasus boys this year are already in more advanced medical courses, I asked Professor Dove if she might place you in my class, due to your sorting. She was most agreeable to my request, also feeling it would be a good fit for you."

Your eyes begin to widen as you put the pieces together. "And you would like me to be your assistant?"

"You wouldn't mind, would you? You are most certainly free to decline. If you accept, you won't get any extra credit or special considerations, and you will be expected to complete all assignments on time. However, I will ensure that you are properly rewarded for your assistance. I have a few class projects in mind that I think you will find... enlightening. I can set aside some time during the week for some... one on one tutoring as well..."

You blink, flabbergasted. The professor smiles sweetly, awaiting your reply.

"Uhhh... I... Sure...?", you finally manage uncertainly.

“Wonderful!”, Dr. Kinders beams. “Now, I don’t want to make you tardy for your next class, so you may go now. However, I will stop by your room later this evening to get better acquainted with you… And to give you a signing bonus, so to speak.”. She gives a grin that you cannot quite read as she makes this statement, which leads you to wonder what kind of bonus she has in mind.

You do not have much time to ponder on this however, you are due in Intro To Elemental Affinity in less than 10 minutes. You bid farewell to Dr. Kinders and hurry off to your next class.

Intro To Elemental Affinity is located across the campus, so you have to hurry to make it on time... which you barely manage with a few sprints and some intermittent speed walking. Not surprisingly, you are the last student to arrive to the classroom. The professor, a very tall and lean woman with jet black hair and glasses that flatter her narrow and pretty face scrutinizes you as you enter. Her expression is unreadable. Feeling a little intimidated, you feel it best to quickly find a seat... which is not very difficult, as there is only one available.

Taking your seat, the first thing you notice is that everyone here, save for yourself, are Wyvern. The second thing you notice is that the girl sitting next to you is the thin brown haired girl you passed on your way to lunch yesterday. She grins at you impishly as you sit, apparently remembering you as well.

The third thing you notice is in front of each student, there is a glass container holding some unknown, grey substance.

"Good morning, and welcome to Intro To Elemental Affinity.", the professor begins. "I am Professor Aspecta, and I will be teaching this course, obviously."

The class greets Professor Aspecta in unison. The professor then goes through role call. You learn the girl next to you is named Amelia.

"As the majority of you here are Wyvern,", Professor Aspecta seems to look directly at you as she says this, "You will have a strong leaning toward elemental magic. This course is designed to first discover your affinity, then to help you attune yourselves to your primary and secondary elements. First, who can explain affinity?".

Professor Aspecta strolls through the class, not unlike a predator stalking it's prey. No one speaks up for a few long moments and she lets out an audible sigh.

"Surely someone here has even a vague idea as to what affinity MIGHT mean..."" Feeling as though you have made a bad first impression and wanting to redeem yourself, you swallow the nervous lump in your throat and raise your hand.

Seeing you, the professor acknowledges you, but asks you to stand to give your answer. Doing so, you then give your answer.

"Affinity means having a strong connection with something."

"A bit broad, but correct.", the professor replies, her face as impassive as ever. "Can you elaborate a bit as it might relate to elemental magic?"

You think for a moment, silently cursing yourself for putting yourself on the spot like this.

"You can do this...", Aeriel chimes in your ear. "Think..."

Feeling comforted, you relax a little and respond.

"As for elemental magic, having an affinity to an element means that you have a strong connection to that element. That you will likely find it easier to cast spells revolving around that element. However, that also means that other elements, generally ones that are opposite to your affinity, you will have a harder time with. Like fire and water for instance..."

This actually earns you a smirk from Professor Aspecta, the first actual show of anything like emotion from her.

"Well put young man, you may sit. Now, I'm sure you are all curious about the containers in front of you. Inside is what is referred to as affinity liquid. This will be used to determine your primary and secondary elemental affinity. Place the thumb and forefinger of your dominant hand into the liquid. After a few moments, it will change color, denoting your affinities."

The class proceeds to follow her instructions.

Placing your fingers into the cool liquid, you think it feels a little slimy. Aeriel is sitting in your lap, watching raptly.

You look to Amelia to see that her liquid has changed to red on top and green on bottom.

"Ahhh... fire and earth Ms. Harker... always an interesting combination.", Professor Aspecta says. Amelia grins broadly.

Turning her attention to you, the professor asks. "And what have we here?"

You look down to your own liquid to see that it has turned completely white. No color whatever shows in the liquid. You look up at Professor Aspecta to see a curious look on her face. That's twice you've managed to get a reaction from the normally stoic woman, and you are unsure if that is a good thing given her usual intense character.

"What does it mean?", you finally manage.

"Neutral...", she replies, almost as if to herself.

"Neutral?", you ask, the whole class now looking over at you.

"Yes...", she continues in her distracted tone. She then gives you a look as if evaluating you.

"I'd like to speak with you after class. I believe you have lunch next. I won't keep you long.", she finally says, returning to herself. Without another word, Professor Aspecta moves on to examine the remaining student's affinities.

Out of the corner of your eye, you see Amelia is grinning at you. Aeriel turns around in your lap to face you, no doubt sensing your concern.

"Relax silly boy...", she says with a sweet smile. "I highly doubt you are in trouble... You can't control that...".

"Yeah... I suppose... But being pulled aside by my professors in my first two classes...?"

"PFFFT...". Aeriel dismisses this with a wave of her hand. "It just means that you are proving to be very special indeed..."

"Thanks...", you say, feeling slightly better but still a little uneasy.

The rest of the period drags on as Professor Aspecta finishes her rounds, informing each student what their result indicates. She ends the lecture by saying that now that everyone knows their affinity, the rest of the course will be devoted to training those abilities specifically.

As the class concludes, you remain seated while the rest of the students file out, feeling nervous about the upcoming one on one.

What's this about?
