Do you jump?
Yes
Fuck it, you take a few steps back for a running start, and then leap across the gap.
You fly through a hole in the inn's roof and slam down to the second story, your knees buckling from the impact. Ralof calls after you, but you jump down to the first floor through another hole.
It seems you're more durable in this world, so that's one thing going for you.
Just as you think that, you catch sight of Hadvar as he leads a child to safety.
You run up to him, and he nods in your direction. "For now, we should seek shelter in the keep," he tells you. Looks like Alduin's arrival has put your execution on hold. A very fortunate choice for the future of Skyrim, considering that you're probably the mythical Dragonborn and the only person capable of defeating the World Eater.
Ralof leads you through the burning town of Helgen, ducking behind cover to avoid dragon fire.
Imperial guards are trying to shoot the dragon with their bows and arrows, but it's doing little good.
Hadvar finally leads you to the keep, a massive stone structure that leads underground, where you can hopefully seek shelter from the dragon's rampage.
Just as you approach, you catch sight of Ralof and another Stormcloak soldier. "Hadvar you damned traitor," Ralof growls. "You can't stop us," he threatens, showing off that he's unbound and armed.
Hadvar sighs, and decides it isn't worth a fight with Ralof. "Prisoner, with me. We'll be safe inside the keep."
"No kinsman, come with us!" Ralof advises.
Each of the two men stand near an entryway to the keep, awaiting your decision.
This won't commit you to either side in the Civil War, but this will decide who you will be fighting with and against in the very near future.
