Which do you choose?
Hadvar
As you follow the honorable Imperial inside the keep, he slams the door shut behind you before catching his breath.
"Here, come over so I can cut you free. We'll figure out what to do with you once we're safely out of Helgen." With those words, Hadvar cuts your binds, freeing your hands. "I'll look for something to treat these burns, you should look for something to defend yourself with."
There was some simple light armor, which was preferable to the rags you were wearing. Interestingly, when you touched it while thinking of putting it on, it appeared on your body while the rags vanished.
By concentrating, you were able to visualize the inventory screen from the game. You had the tabs "All" and "Apparel." Under each, the only item was a "Roughspun Tunic." You could also see "Carry Weight: 7/300" in the corner of your vision. Huh. That would certainly be handy.
You equipped some boots and gauntlets, and stood before a rack of weapons.
There were swords for one hand or two, axes and maces for one hand, a two-handed hammer, a shield, and a bow.
