What happened?
The store was being robbed (Marvel)
Jack was sitting behind the counter, his eyes wide as the man in front of him pulled out a gun and aimed it at his head. He wasn't expecting this today, I mean looking back on it something didn't add up about today. He woke up early to open the store as usual, but unlike his usual day, someone was following him the whole way there. He didn't think much of it at the time, after all New York is a crowded city, even at five in the morning, but now he was realizing he should've maybe been a bit warier. The man pulled a backpack off of his back and threw it at him.
"Put all the fucking money from the safe and the register into the bag," the mans eyes narrowed from behind his ski mask, "and if you skimp on anything, I'll put two holes in you and do it myself. Between you and me, I'd rather not have to do that, so co-operation is key here."
As this man pointed the gun at him, something flashed through his mind. It was a worrying thought, but it was something that had come natural to him in this moment. He wasn't scared to die. He found that he didn't even really care what happened here.
Maybe it was the shock of the moment, maybe it's just his true nature shining through, but he really just... couldn't bring himself to give a single shit. He would do what this guy said, not out of fear or anything like that, no. Just a desire to get him out of here so he could go back to his life. Why did he want to go back to his life anyway? Not like he really had anything going for him. No calling, he was working a minimum wage job, and taking classes at college for what? Nothing. Not really, at least. So this man killing him would be doing him a favor, really.
Noticing his hesitation the man brought the gun closer to his face, "Hurry up, or I will do it."
Jack looked back up at this man and shrugged, his face a blank slate, he was just going through the motions. It could be mistaken for fear, but it wasn't. He reached into the register and started piling money into the bag until his freshly made drawer was empty. He then undid the safe and started pulling all the money he could grab from in there, when he noticed a marker sitting in the safe as well, which he ignored.
He brought the full bag up and handed it to the thug, "Thanks for shopping at D-Mart, have a nice day."
The man looked at him weird and took the bag, running towards the door. He pushed open the door and before he even took a step out, he was knocked back by a purple boxing glove arrow smashing into his face. A voice came from outside, a feminine voice.
"Really, running off without leaving a tip? Bad customer etiquette right there."
A dark haired woman stepped into the building, her lithe form was decorated with a dark purple sleeveless bodysuit that clung to her like a second skin, and she had goggles covering her eyes. The bow in her hand and quiver on her back made it unmistakable who this was. The second Hawkeye.
The gun had clattered from the thugs hand and slid across the floor next to counter, the thug glanced over and saw it at the same time Jack and Hawkeye did.
"Don't even think abou-"
She was cut off as the bag of money went flying towards her, causing her to dodge out of the way. The criminal was scrambling across the floor towards the gun.
AN
So this is the point where y'all can go crazy and make your own routes. I mean, you can do that at the beginning too, but if you want to stick to these characters go ahead. I will be updating my own version, albeit very infrequently due to the business of my life.
So go nuts!
What does Jack do?
