To her car, and drive home

She decided to just go home. So April just walked into the parking lot. As she got there the parking lot was almost empty. Only a handful of cars were still parked there, including hers. She grabbed her keys and opened the car door. As she sat on the driver's seat she started the car.... and immediately felt something wrong.

"Huh? The engine sounded a bit weird. Nah whatever. I'm tired. Let's get outta here and get home. It's not like it's gonna break down in the middle of nowhere." she said, ignoring what just happened.

The car quickly moved out of the underground parking lot and into the streets. The streets were still filled with moving vehicles despite the time.

Now, there were at least two routes she could take to get home. The western road was the shortest, but currently there were some kind of maintenance or construction on the road so traffic might be a bit slow there.

The southern road was a far longer detour through a couple towns, shady neighborhood, and a woodlands. But it was also far less crowded. Probably nobody used that road at this hour.

People said there were shortcuts on both routes, but she hadn't tried any of them when she drove on either roads during the day.
