"…Jie mentioned the conversation she had with you this morning about puddings."

Léa looks startled and a little embarrassed. "She told you about that? I thought she was joking! Not that I am complaining; I would be happy to—that is, I would very much like to, er, orally pleasure you whilst you eat your pudding, Jaques."

This was more or less what Jie said earlier today: Léa didn't think her diet could accommodate a pudding and a dessert, so to avoid the potentially uncomfortable situation of you eating a course while your guest just sits and watches, Jie suggested she might swallow something less calorific, instead.

"I'm sure I would like that just as much as you, Léa," you reply, magnanimously.

"Oh, thank-you, Jaques," she seems genuinely pleased by this. "I have been practising, just in case."

At that moment, Jie returns, having deposited your visitor's dress and poured a couple of glasses of something bubbly.
