Mystery and meetups

By the end of the day, you have a serviceable, if not beautiful, sword and crossbow. Forgefather Unir smiles, nodding as he looks them over. “Well done. Both groups have finished, and done better than I expected. Excellent work. Tomorrow we will continue, and I think the next step will be more in line with your talents.”

Andrew, standing beside a table with a simple suit of armor laid on it, looks just as confused as you feel. “Not to be rude, but what is the purpose of these? They’re arms and armor, but not of the quality you normally see, and only a couple of us here have any experience making things like this.”

Unir nods. “I suppose a small explanation is in order. Im sure you’re all aware of the prophecy of the golden magus. Well, we have seers searching for clues constantly. Sometimes, they find things that are unrelated, and yet important. This is the result of one of them. I cannot say more than that, but it needs to be these two groups.”

Marin chuckles. “That’s…vague. I suppose you know best.”

He shakes his head. “Im only slightly less blind than you, here. But I’ve been told that an old ally will need things from me, and I am not one to turn my back on that.”

Rina, the golem, cocks her head curiously. “Do you receive personal requests from divination often, lord?”

Unir laughs. “Not hardly. That’s why I’m taking it rather seriously. I’ve found it’s best to avoid fighting a prophecy, especially when there’s little downside to following it.”

He holds up his hands to forestall any further questions. “But enough for now. You’ve all done well, and I promise that tomorrow will be more your style. Go ahead and go home for the day.”

Everyone nods, heading outside. Before you part ways, Andrew stops to speak with you. “So, interesting day, right?”

You laugh. “Yeah, that’s one way of putting it.”

He chuckles. “So, I had a chance to chat with Helja earlier. She says they live with you and three others?”

You nod. “A pair of raptor girl sisters and a wolf girl, yes.”

Andrew nods. “I have one girl at home, a dao, an earth spirit. She’s kinda shy, so she stays home a lot. We should get together sometime, have a big dinner or something, what do you think?”

You smile. “That sounds great! I’ll talk to the girls about it. For now though, I’m going to head out. I was promised a reward today…”

He laughs. “Say no more! I have a similar offer to go home to. Talk to you tomorrow!”
