An underhanded trick

Yang grabbed the remaining piece, which would pair her off with Ruby and Weiss.

However, she had other plans for this little fella.

As they began to head back, Yang formulated a plan in her head.

The group was all chatting among themselves, as Nora and Ren formally, or in Nora's case, more INformally, introduced themselves.

Pyrrha and Nora were walking side by side, and Yang right behind.

When nobody was looking, she reached forward and gently tugged on the vines which were keeping Pyrrha covered. They quickly fell, wrapping around her feet.

"Uwah!" Pyrrha cried out as she lost her balance and fell forward, knocking Nora down too. Yang followed suit and "tripped" over Pyrrha, her piece happening to fall from her hand and land beside Nora.

"Ugh... Everyone okay?" Pyrrha asked.

"Yeah... All good." Yang said, as she dusted herself off and grabbed the Rook piece which had been dislodged from Nora's grasp in the fall.

She watched Ren sigh and pick up the Knight.

"Maybe I should hold on to this for now."

Nora bolted to her feet, sticking her tongue out at him.

"I can carry it just fine Ren!" She proclaimed.

Ren smiled.

"I'm sure you can. But you did let it go. We need to be careful with these. Who knows what will happen if we lost it"

Nora pouted, but continued on. Yang clutched the rook piece in victory, as Blake helped Pyrrha cover herself again, and the group continued on.

"...didn't you have a different piece before?" Blake asked

"Does it matter? I thought we just had to take them back" Yang replied. Blake simply shrugged, as the group returned to Beacon. And on returning, clothes were provided for the girls who had lost theirs.

There was a small break as they waited, before it was time for teams to be made...
