Patty feels guilty

After their meeting with Mrs. Blake, the two boys returned home.

Patty flopped face first onto the bed, Billy finding him still in this poisiton after taking a shower.

"Babe, are you alright?" He asked.

"No..." Patty said, his voice muffled by the pillows. " I feel like this is all my fault."

"No. We're not going down that path." Billy said, lying on the bed and putting his arms around Patty.

"Billy, you're the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you so much..." Patty said "But, I kind of wonder what would have happened had we not met, if Shauna had dragged me to a different restaurant or if you just weren't our waiter, what would have happened..."

"Honey... thinking like this is what people do, but it's not going to change what happened." Billy told him, rubbing his hands along his fiancé's shoulders. "Jessie made her bed, now she needs to lie in it. It's not your fault."

Billy pushed Patty over and laid his upper body on top of him.

"Patty, you did nothing wrong. Don't punish yourself because you think you did. Jessie couldn't accept you for who you are, that's all on her."

Patty took a deep breath.

"You're right... She's... None of us had ever met an openly gay person before I met you. I never considered it for myself until you kissed me. I felt like... someone blew up a dam and all the water, all the feelings, all the ideas and the such... they just... burst out into me and everything made sense for me for the first time in my life. You made me feel complete. And now that I really think about it... If I had chosen another girl... who knows what she would have done... I feel like, her **** me was the best possible outcome... If I had hooked up with, like, Shauna... Jessie might have killed her or something."

"Well, no need to worry about that, now..." Billy said, kissing him.

"Yeah... no need to worry." He said "I have other things to think about instead."
