Jessica's new lover.

After a few minutes of chatting and meal prep, Max asked his Aunt,

"This is a lot of food, are we having company this evening?"

"Yes, Ella is coming by this afternoon for a visit and I thought we could all have a nice meal together," Jessica explained with a smile on her face. Max was just about to ask who Ella was when another flood of memories hit him, sending his head spinning.

Ella is Aunt Jessica's girlfriend!? Since when is she into women? Why did the machine change that? It doesn’t make sense, I didn’t ‘what if’ anything that would do that. Is the machine messing with me? Is someone else actually in control of things? What do I do? Max's breathing quickened as began to panic.

"Max, Max!" Jessica called from the other side of the kitchen island with a worried look on her face. "Are you sure you’re alright, you look a little pale." She made her way around the counter and put her hand to Max's forehead. Jessica's newly enhanced breasts inches from his face snapped Max partially out of his panic.

“Ahh, I guess I had a... worse night than I thought,” he half lied. Jessica put both her hands on his shoulders, massaging them just a bit.

“You need to take better care of yourself Max, I’ll make you some tea, go lie down on the couch.” Max just nodded, making his way to the living room and taking a seat on the very comfy couch. Jessica brought over a cup of hot tea and Max sipped it slowly, the warm liquid calming his body and mind. He leaned back into the cushions of the couch.

I got a bit carried away there, but I feel so much better, my head isn't spinning anymore and I can think clearly. Maybe the reason Aunt Jessica was unhappy with her marriage was the fact she was actually into women. Or perhaps she discovered that after the divorce, it has been a few years after all...

Max laid back and looked out the big patio doors that led onto the small deck outside. He could hear his Aunt tidying up in the kitchen.

Ok, I really need to learn more about this machine before I mess with things too much.

Max grinned, thinking of how this was the same methodical way he approached video games. Learning all the details, mechanics and exploits before using them to beat the game. Pulling up a note on his phone, Max began to make plans, he tried to think of the best way that he could exploit the machine's powers without getting into too much trouble. Just as Max finished his tea and was about to get up from the couch to grab a snack, his older sister Kaylee came out from her room, wearing a cute top and skirt.

"How do I look, Max?" she asked as she spun around. Max would have usually teased her, but he was in a good mood so he went with a compliment instead. She did look good, and a bit older then before, just like everyone else. The memories Max got told him that Kaylee was attending college for nursing downtown.

"You look good, sis." Kaylee smiled at the compliment, perhaps expecting a teasing remark instead. She grabbed an apple and a glass of water and joined Max in the living room. They chatted for a bit about a few things, Max's time off, how her course was going and the weather. Max remembered the mental note he took before and casually asked her about Hailey.

"So, do you know anything about the situation with Hailey and her apartment? Mom is pretty upset." Kaylee sighed, checking to make sure her mother was far enough away to not overhear.

"Mom doesn't have to worry about Hailey running out of money or anything like that... she's got it covered." Max was about to inquire further when Aunt Jessica approached, holding her own cup of tea. She complimented Kaylee's outfit and the two women began discussing fashion. Max tuned out and pulled out his phone again, to continue his planning. As the women were talking, he overheard them mention his Mom's work. Memories flashed back to him of his Mom taking a job in a high end lingerie store in the mall, called Restless Nights. She had moved up through the years and was now assistant manager. Soon Kaylee leaves to get ready for class and Jessica asks Max,
